I have a great story of Herbie Flowers grabbing me by the scruff of the neck up against the wall.

 

Then of him drawing out a stave and the bassline to Walk on the Wildside for me as he felt bad about what he’d done earlier.

 

Great memories. Sad loss.

If you've kept that drawing it may become quite sought after by fans.

His bass line for Scott Walker’s “The Old Man’s Back Again (Dedicated To The Neo-Stalinist Regime)” is his best for me.

See, this is why I referred to him as "legendary" in the publicity material I created for a gig he was playing.  

 

This is what resulted in the aforementioned "up against the wall" grip I mentioned earlier...
