I see you using stats a lot to ridicule the "Palmer best player in the league over the last 18 months" shout. You're putting Mo's numbers up against Palmer to make out it's a wild take.

Ok then, by your reasoning.....

Last season:

Odegaard 8 goals, 10 assists.

Palmer 22 goals, 11 assists (from 5 less starts too).

This season:

Odegaard 1 goal, 2 assists.

Palmer 11 goals, 6 assists (from 7 more starts)

So from 2 more games, Palmer has 33 goals and 17 assists compared to 9 goals and 12 assists.

Now go get your fuckin' shinebox.

Ødegaard play in CM, Palmer play as an attacking midfielder/forward.

M.Ødegaard:

C.Palmer:

I really did not think I would have to point out this pretty significant difference between them.

Why would anyone compare the two?

Ødegaard is amazing in a position where we need more creativity, goals and assists from our players.

C.Palmer play in an attacking role like Salah, but he is more central.

But would it be a free run at the ball? Right now Arsenal are actually using the extra numbers in defence to their advantage, as no one can stay man-for-man as the mass of bodies acts as a screen.

The Arsenal players congregate at the far post, then just before the ball is played in, "rush" into position - this avoids the ref pulling them for the physical blocking that refs usually identify and stop.

So I would place all of our players at the near post, facing into the box, then just as the ball is played in, we "rush" into our defensive positions.

Let's see Ashley Williams and Troy Deeney try to break down that play:

We could hoist Van Dijk and Ibou into the air, like they do at Rugby line-outs.

Picking and choosing which stats you use I see.

All I did was use your own logic. You went with goals and assists to compare Salah and Palmer, so I did it with Odegaard and Palmer. And you plucked a load of other random stats out of your arse.

Palmer does not play in the same position as Salah. It isn't a like for like comparison. Neither is Palmer and Odegaard, I'm just playing by your rules thats all.

I'd expect to soon see, as one tactical response to Gooner corners, them being caught out on counter-atttacks. One of the problems of the hyper-concentrated zonal positionings at corners is that, if you don't win the first ball, nearly all of you are hopelessly ill-positioned to deal with the opposition breaking away with the ball. All of these routines, the more spatially unusual they get, are exceptionally high risk in execution, and that grows ever-higher the more that other teams study them and work out responses.

It used to be the special obsession of journeymen managers at lower league clubs. John Beck at Cambridge, for example, used most of the Arsenal 'guru's' corner kick routines about thirty years ago. Seriously. The bus queue, the group at the near post, the group at the far post, the line outside the area all coming in late, the moving triangular block of the keeper, all the decoy runs - pretty much every 'innovation' by that publicity-mad twat at the Emirates was devised before the tiresome fecker was even born.

Dave Bassett at Wimbledon and elsewhere continued it. Now you have thirty-something hacks marvelling at thirty-something corner coaches because they're both so bloody insular.

We should bring Harry Bassett in as set piece coach, and play 44 fucking 2.

And number the team 1 to 11.

And none of this long hair nonsense. Eee I don’t know.

And 50% of the team should have a moustache.

Apart from the scores...and creates part.

Vlad, you are trying to hard.

He is literally on the list - look at the list of players. Have you looked at it now?

That is THE list of players who create the most.

Iago Aspas is on that list. As one of those players.

This doesn't even take into account the golas that he is scoring.

So - very much inclusive of scores and creates we have - Aspas.

I read someone mentioned that Arsenal had built a team of giants, so I thought I should look into it.

Here are the 15 players with most minutes in the league for us and Arsenal so far this season.

Arsenal: 2742 cm / 15 =182,8 cm average

Liverpool: 2771 cm / 15 =184,733 cm average

Arsenal: Seven players taller than 185 cm

Liverpool: Nine players taller than 185 cm

It's getting annoying to hear all the pundits spunking over their corner delivery everyday too.

They are clearly taking a little bit of pace off the corners to hit the area they want. Then you have their players blocking the opposition which allows the ball to get to where they need it to go.

If you ask most premier league players to not kick a ball at full pace and power to hit an area they'll be able to do it pretty easily. It's not that hard. Ex players should understand this quite easily.

Yet everyday we have to listen to Gary Neville wanking over Declan Rice being able to hit a ball at 70% power over the front post.
