Now call me a tactical genius but do teams (including ourselves ) not struggle more when midfielders are bearing down on goal with the ball at feet ? Rather than drinking it into space all the time for defenders to clear their lines . No way Jones starts ahead of Gravenberch don't get what he offers and that's not just down to a dismal performance today . Gravenberch has fallen out with Dutch manager I think he was at training all week just wonder what Jurgen was thinking .

El Rojo didn't write that don't know what's wrong with my quoting and pasting

City didn’t appear anywhere near the same prospect without De Bruyne.

How many chances did they create from open play today? It can’t have been more than three, less if you include us giving them the ball 25 yards out.

Doku seems talented at dribbling, but had no final ball and a real player with that time, space and much of the ball should really have hurt us today.

I've said a few times that the difference between us and the blue mancs has been De Bruyne. Take him amd Rodri away and they're pretty even with the rest of the top 4 teams

Doku is still very young, could turn into a major talent in a few years. Definitely looked dangerous today.

Overview: Klopp’s evolving 2.0 went toe to toe with the reigning English and European champions and industrial scale cheats and came away with a deserved point. Fuck all to choose between the teams, despite the far greater workload for our lads in the last fortnight and the 12.30 away. No coincidence that their only S American to travel was pretty shit.

Fucks sake not Jota again....

Jürgen Klopp has confirmed Liverpool will need to check on the fitness of Alisson Becker and Diogo Jota following the 1-1 draw at Manchester City on Saturday.

The pair picked up knocks at Etihad Stadium that will require further assessment from the Reds’ medical team to determine the severity of them.

Alisson went down holding his leg in stoppage-time, but was able to continue. Jota, meanwhile, was forced from the field in the 54th minute.

Klopp told his post-match press conference: “The shadow on this game is obviously that Ali felt something and Diogo felt something – something we have to assess and then we will see.”

Expanding further on Alisson's fitness, the boss added: "I hope it’s not that serious, but I don't have the answer - no clue in the moment what it is.

"I spoke to him and he said he only felt [it] a little bit, but we have to wait for the scan."

That’s a brilliant point that you know.

It s a very good result, but basically, Trent gets it for us with a big moment. Performance wise, it wasnt anything different from what 99% of teams do against them. We created very little, had little control and had their finishing been better, they win.

I’m not disagreeing with any of that
