Oh that's a shame. I shall enjoy ripping my Newcastle supporting oppo in work tomorrow.

Weird story as to why he likes Newcastle and not Liverpool/Everton/Mancs. He lives in St. Helens and his dad took him to Anfield to watch a League cup game, mid 90s I think he said. Newcastle won and just to be a contrary twat he pissed his dad off and supported them instead of us.

Lovely fella but you could hardly call the 90s Liverpool supporters glory hunters. Why subject yourself to all that torment?

Seems like about 10 days of very satisfying results in association football.

Last season pretty much everything conspired to shit on us - everything went the other way to what would want to see.....this season feels like we might, just might be getting a bit of payback.

A Liverpool - AC Milan final would be great.

Anyhow, we need to earn our place there. We're the most talented by a distance and Dublin will be like Anfield West if we get there, but plenty of teams still involved that can hurt us.

Fuck Newcastle. Never got the whole so called solidarity with them. I always found them full of agro, although I did like them under Keegan and felt it would have been romantic if they won the league then, especially for that old boy who used to be at the games. Fuck them now though and good news we have one less "derby" in Europe to think about come February when we are hopefully in a real title race.

I remember that game. Steve Watson the fat ginger geordie twat chipped David James from 20 yards out. I was gutted. Sat in the lower centenary next to the geordie hordes.

Or as Jamal Khashoggi's family put it "Its not beyond our wildest dreams that our son/father/brother/uncle came back to us alive and in one piece".

Fuck Newcastle. Banging on like they're the only club in the history of football to ever get injuries.

The whole injury thing is massively overblown. Here are their line ups against us early in the season and last week. Pope only got injured a couple of games ago and Burnnwas back last night I believe. Tonali had been shit before his ban. Their real problem was a weakened bench so limited options to rotate, but fuck em, we had bigger problems last season.

Just watched the highlights- the commentator starts with, 'St James' Park is special on nights like this'.

How do they know? They haven't been in European competition in over a decade and the Champions League for nearly 20 years, and they've never got out of the group stages at all.
