Christ.

He’s barely had a pre season and it’s 20 minutes at the end of Brentford at home, ahead of United away next week.

Supposedly the vice captain and he needed a talking to from the new coach, whilst the game was as still going on and still carried on like that.

This manager clearly wants to pace them throughout games and across a long season - he is capable of understanding this but still acted the dickhead - if he wants to go, he won’t be fooling anyone over the age of 15 with all that.

What a complete bulb he’s made of himself today.

Spot on. Complete embarrassment. Second game for the new manager, who's coming in to replace a legend, and this little twerp acts like that and undermines him for absolutely no reason? Dickhead.

He’s a massive egotistical cunt and always has been.  I’m surprised people have not realised this is in his locker.  He has been enabled by Klopp over the years in particular giving him the vice captaincy which was completely undeserved when you consider the shifts players like Salah and Robertson have put in over the years never mind the big guy between the sticks.  I’d happily see Slot pull his pants down and start Bradley against the mancs to teach him who is the boss.

It’s not about this game or this specific time of being subbed.  Slots took him off twice now so it will have 100% been pre planned by Trent to behave like this.  It’s to put a marker down so he at least thinks twice about bringing Bradley on going forward.  To be fair to him loads of players have pulled this sort of stunt before.

I'm a huge Trent fan, been banging on about how vital it is to keep him. He's genuinely worked class. He's also defending better these two games because Slots tactics give him more protection and it's not an open basketball match with him sprinting back to defend wide open spaces.

I've also had many a titty lip if I was ever subbed early (rarely happened because I'm fucking brilliant). It's annoying not to play 90 minutes. 2-0, games not done, you want to be out there.

But the way he acted afterwards is not ok. The manager has spoken to you, during the game. He didn't have to do that. Calm down at some point. You're the vice captain, he's a new manager, you're meant to support him and give him time. You're meant to set an example and keep everything stable for him with all the new players he's barely known for a month. It's ok to be a little pissed, but to not even celebrate the win and carry it on 30 minutes later is fucking rank.

It stinks, and it's a clear indication of his attitude right now. It's ok to have belief in your own ability and think your the best, but to actually think you're bigger and better than your own team mates or the new manager is a step too far. If he carries this on nobody will want him to stay anyway.

As far as im concerenced he is off

The club put themselves in  a shit position with the contract but now its just a waiting game. Trent won't want it to become public because he wont want the negative press or shit from the fans.

Problem is, of this is the case we should be playing Bradley more to bed him in but thats hard to do with  a player of Trents profile

Having said that, if we can get him to resign and he puts in the same effort he has the past two weeks we need to get him signed up. Though long term we probably lose Bradley which would be a shame

Interesting how he's supposedly the only player in the England squad who can abide Bellingham, who's supposedly a cunt.

Did you see the footage of him moaning at Real’s new front three already because he’s been shunted back to midfield and has to track back for a change?

Never has a player suited a team so much, Bellingham and England.

Personally I don't think what I've seen from Macca and gravenberch in that 6 position so far, we look at all equipped to build play through them.

We may not be - I think the first step is hoping they make us a little tougher to play through.

Nothing supposed about Bellingham is the biggest cunt I’ve ever laid eyes on. In fact cunt doesn’t quite do him justice.

It is absolutely disgusting what Slot did to him.

For me, when he leaves, this will have been the turning point and it isn't at all the case that he is running down his contract and has wanted to leave for a while. No sir.

He's been excellent this season and much improved on the defensive side.

But he needs a smack for his petulant, bratty behaviour after he came off today. Does he need reminding that he's the vice-captain and should be leading by example?

Great player, hope he stays long term. But the idea that we'd be fucked without him is false. Conor Bradley is also brilliant.

This is bang on for me.

If this type of personality can divide fans who are just observing from the outside in to this degree, imagine what sharing a changing room with the likes of him

would do.

He has started the season well, but he is an entitled and arrogant gobshite as far as his footballer persona goes. Not talking about him as a man, as I couldn’t give a fuck what any of them are like away from the club.

If he played anywhere else, I reckon we would all agree that he’s not very likeable.

Even aside from the petulance of getting subbed, he was dismissive to Bradley as he was coming on, and to Jota at the end. Bradley is a young lad looking to senior players for support, and he gets his vice-captain not wanting to even look at him as he swaps with him because his bottom lip is wobbling.

Saying we’d be fucked without him @Barrington Womble is massively detached from my thoughts on him too. He’s gifted for sure, but we’ve got a team full of talent and a manager who seemingly has the ability to build a team to his plan, so Trent is certainly not the be all and end all. Gifted yes, one man wrecking ball like Gerrard he is not

The attitude does himself no favours. He's playing well and he's only bringing himself down with how he is reacting. It's a team game and a long season, the manager wants to protect his top players every opportunity he can. Plus when we are 2 up with not long to go we don't need Trents skill set as much, he'd done his job. 3 points be happy and on to the next one it's about the team and it's success not about the world revolving around Trent.

Playing really well at the moment, effort and skill. Just imagine if after helping us into a 2-0 lead in the new manager’s first home game he’d have enthusiastically high fived Bradley and Slot and then gave a round of applause to the fans, the place would have been rocking. He’d have looked like he deserved the armband then. No, it seems it’s all about him unfortunately, and has been for a while.

Trent embarrassed himself yesterday but this talk that Bradley is anywhere close to the ability of Trent is daft. I like Bradley a lot but having a better attitude and effort is not the same as talent, which Bradley also has but Trent is gifted. Now the job of the manager is to get his application right but that's a 2 way thing and if Trent doesn't want to then he's off, either by his own accord not signing a new contract, or the manager will bin him anyway.

I just wonder if he’s getting that from hanging around with Bellingham and M’bappe, who are both entitled gobshites.

I agree there. It's unlikely that Bradley, who could well end up being a very good player will ever have the passing range and vision that Trent has. Just not too many people around with that which is fair enough really. Bradley could however end up being a better fit for the team but as you've said that's really down to Slot to get Trent onside and Trent to apply himself. I thought Bradley was good in his cameo today and who's to say if he would've contributed to a goal or not had we actually been trying to score but I don't think we're going to be giving him the okay to try to score direct from a corner anytime soon either.

None of that is said to excuse Trent acting like a 7 yr old who's just been told to give his little brother a go on the N64 whilst on the bench either.

Well it definitely doesn't help. Bellingham is a knobhead and Trent seems to be the only one who gets on with him, so join the dots I suppose.

Obviously Trent shouldn't be going off in a sulk during the first game of the season, but I do think Slot has made it a bigger thing by going over to him. I appreciate he is new into the job and there are layers more complexity than with a big standard sulk in the middle of a season for an experienced manager.

I do find all the character assissinations of him and Bellingham off though. Its one step removed from standing at the platform in Euston.

None of us have any idea of the personalities of these players. If you listen to people who actually know them, the reviews are always overwhelmingly positive. Robbo was best mates with Trent at one point and everyone things he is sound, helping out at the foodbank, etc. People call them cunts and think they wear Maggie thatcher pyjamas because of how they play footy and their mood during a game.
