I love Klopp, but I think he needs to hold his hands up and take the blame for this. Elliot is so far out of his depth he’s getting the bends, he’s asking defenders who don’t have the legs to hold a high line and he leaves Mo isolated out on the right where every defender knows you double up and force him inside. Think a bit fucking different for fucks sake. Anyway, I’m in Chester which I’m not very often so I think I’ll walk the walls shouting incoherently.

Obviously both things yes. But the defending, as a team that is not just the back four, is so poor at the moment that all teams will fancy their chances against us. Even if the attack was world class, which it clearly isn’t at the moment, you’ll be lucky to get top four with defending like that. Forget about winning titles.

Nunez profligacy really is problematic. Down the years one of Mane, Salah or Firmino would get us out holes. Darwin just can’t do it when it matters. It’s infuriating.

Awful performance in the first half. Slow and predictable going forward, invisible in midfield, and all over the shop at the back. A little better second half, but still nowhere near good enough.

 

I've no doubt we'll play better in the coming months, but I'm fairly certain we'll have a few more games like this, too. 4th is gonna be a real struggle if we don't bring in some fresh legs in midfield.

Shite like this is indefensible now, after 7 years, how the fuck am I watching our players out-fought by this journeyman shite time after time?  It wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't so fucking inevitable to know that fucking bellends like Ben Mee and Vitaly Janelt can deliver 3 points against us without working too hard. 

I love Klopp, but it's obvious some of his players don't share that sentiment.  And make no mistake, I want those players gone as well, but it's clear that Klopp isn't the man to clear out the shite he's collected.  

 

Klopp lost his way when he calmed down a few years back.  'Professor Klopp' isn't who we appointed.  We appointed the lunatic, and it reaped immediate rewards.  As we knew it would.  Now it's sedate, it's forgiving, it's beige, it's often boring, and it's lost ALL the momentum it once had.  

 

I don't expect he'll go, but this all feels like the Rodgers ending.  Once you tolerate shite, you end up starting to not recognise shite.

We’ll probably play better yes. But teams have been walking through us and been presented with plenty of big chances all season. And it’s gotten worse after our trip to Dubai. No way that will change until we bring in new players in midfield. Which means top 4 will be difficult, need to rely on other teams lack of form as well.

I think as someone else has just said, we had plenty of really abject performances even at our height but they were papered over by one of Salah/Firminio/Mane digging us out of a whole.

 

If you've not got them to dig you out when you need them AND you're playing shite more often then this is what you end up with.

Salah has been average for about 12 months now. Quite poor after the WC break.
