Cody calling the golden boy a dickhead.

Bellingham seemed beyond ignorant in his interaction with Gravenberch in the tunnel when he was looking for Trent’s shirt so I reckon it’s something to do with that.

Says a lot when fellow footballers think a player is an absolute balloon.

Was there a video of that by the way?

The transformation in Cody has been a joy. I looked at him under Jürgen and had no real confidence in him, preferred him out of the team than in it.

All change here. Wonderful player, long may it continue. Plus, he seems like a decent human being.

I think that's unfair on Klopp, the same with Gravenberch. I remember that come the end of Klopp's tenure they were both, especially Grav, really starting to settle into some consistency. I think that simply having a large Dutch coaching contingent and especially manager, has made them both a lot more comfortable. The language isn't a barrier at all any more.

If you watch the video, it looks like he's say to Ryan; "Can you get me Trent's shirt for one of these two lads".

When the shirt gets passed he keeps it and passes Ryan his shirt.

Ryan stands at the door and has clocked that he's kept Trent's shirt and has not passed it to one of the two (academy?) lads.

Not the right thread for it but it looks to me like he's been sent like an errands boy to get Trents jersey. The club/Trent are aware what Madrid are trying to do and seeing as Ryan as shown him up all night, they send him out for one last insult. And that was an insult, his supposed mate his standing 10 feet away and Trent doesn't deliver it himself, all of 30 seconds it would have taken. I'd love to know how long we left Bellingham standing there? I hope we offered him a cup of tea.

That's a stretch for me. Some decent performances v Grav becoming something like the best midfielder in the league?

Cody playing left without a sinking feeling because Diaz is rested or played up top?

I love Jürgen as much as any fan, but these two players have excelled under Arne and I didn't see Jurgens last few months here as a springboard for any of it. Nothing is for certain of course, just my opinion for what it's worth.

Agree with that. There were definitely much more promising signs from Cody at the end of last season, but he's kicked on big time this year. As for Grav, no-one saw this coming, he's been the best player in the whole league this season. Salah and Van Dijk will get the headlines because they've been doing it for so long, but nobody has been better than Gravenberch this season.

It does look exactly like that. It probably wasn't that, but it absolutely looks like that's exactly what happened.

Who were those two others there though, looked like they carried a bag from the Club shop as well?

As and until that lad has cleaned his boots he doesn't get the shirt. Quite right too....

Are we sure it was Trent’s shirt? Maybe he wanted to swap with Graven etch who said I want to keep this you can have one I didn’t wear. Or his first half shirt or something. I hope he wiped it under his pits before he have it him and all. Bellingham has become a right bellend.

Always liked Gakpo. Very smart and elegant in his playing style.

The start didn't quite work out for him because he had to learn a new position from the outset, never ideal for a new player coming into a new league, never moaned about it and just gone on with it. The idea from Klopp wasn't a bad one & it wasn't as if he stunk the place out every game.

Good to see he's finding he's feet in a position where he's always looked comfortable and has said he thrives playing in. He's got all the main attributes, physically very strong (even if he doesn't have the same tenacity/aggression as a Diaz), deceivingly quick over long distances, his shot power is arguably only behind Szobo, and his crosses when he cuts in and a delight.

I didn't see the CM role coming but I did comment to my friends, one who is a matchgoing regular, that Grav looked a much better player by the end of the season. Gakpo too,at least so far in that he was a real big game player and regular goalscorer. Especially important when taking some pressure off Salah. I spotted improvements in both but not necessarily to the current level though.
