Looking at the stats, Gravenberch has twice as many minutes per appearance in EPL than he had last year in the BL. He was able to handle over 70 minutes per appearance as a regular at Ajax.

By handle, you mean stay on the pitch? For instance, he played 83 against Fulham, but was fucking useless from the 10 of 15 mins into the 2nd half mark like he always is. It's nice to be able to swap players out with subs, but sometimes players just have to be able to give 90 and I am  worried after half a season he's not looking any closer to it.

Latest....still no Jota or Macca - no updates on Bajcetic or Thiago now since early November...

Jürgen Klopp expects Ryan Gravenberch to be available for Liverpool's Premier League meeting with Arsenal on Saturday evening.

The midfielder was absent from Wednesday's Carabao Cup victory over West Ham United after coming off in the second half of the encounter with Manchester United last weekend.

Meanwhile, Alexis Mac Allister and Diogo Jota have been ruled out of the 5.30pm GMT kick-off at Anfield.

Asked at his pre-match press conference whether any players would be returning against Arsenal, Klopp said: "Ryan.

"Macca and Diogo getting closer and closer but not ready for tomorrow. That's it."

Klopp also provided an update on Andy Robertson's recovery from the shoulder injury he sustained in October.

"Andy, I sat yesterday pretty long with him and actually he's doing well," Klopp said. "The problem is a little bit that the shoulder is not there. The rest of the body is fine but we need to be patient a little bit. We need to be patient a little bit longer but it's fine.

"So he can do all the physical work already, which annoys him quite a lot because he's not allowed for ball training, a little bit of passing maybe and stuff like this – but not properly.

"But physically when he's ready to go, allowed to go shoulder-wise, then I think it's a short time until he will be back. We all hope it will be in January but I don't know."

Jürgen Klopp confirmed Kostas Tsimikas suffered a collarbone injury during Liverpool's 1-1 draw with Arsenal on Saturday evening.

The left-back was forced off in the 34th minute of the Premier League affair at Anfield following a duel with Bukayo Saka.

Luis Diaz, meanwhile, will be assessed after he took a knock to his knee and was substituted during the second period.

Speaking at his post-match press conference, Klopp said: "He [Tsimikas] broke his collarbone at least. That's really bad for us."

Asked whether Diaz has an injury, the Reds boss replied: "I hope not. He has pain, it was knee on knee and in that moment we wanted to change twice and then Lucho was down.

"And actually we first wanted to wait if maybe Lucho has to come off but then we decided [to] change all three because now we don't have to wait how Lucho is and that's what we did then.

"Lucho told me 'little pain', physios were not too concerned, but you never know and we play in three days and you never know how quick the turnaround is, so we have to see. I don't know."

I know Diaz isn't playing too well (although he was better tonight than last week), but we absolutely can't afford to lose him as Salah is about to fuck off.

Fully expecting by Monday that his knee will have swollen to the size of a football and the next time we see him it will be easter....

I read that Robbo could be back next month; I'm reading that as February, because everything takes longer than we expect.  If it's early February (or earlier) I won't be too concerned about Joe Gomez deputising; if it's any longer, I'll go apeshit like the opening post of the "Sign Someone" thread.

A mate of mine who usually knows what's happening on the fitness side told me about 2 weeks after it happened they were planning for him to be playing in march when Europe returns. Anything earlier was a bonus.

Why do you hate Joe Gomez so much?

They've selectively edited that. I heard the interview with klopp. What he said was he'd been back in training for 2 days and he put him on the squad list..the medical team said "but we had a full day training planned for him, but if you want to take him, he can play no more than 15 minutes.". Klopp then said "so we gave him 12 in the end and just about sneaked in. He can train his full day tomorrow".

I've no idea what this even means....

I think Thiago will at one point be in team training. We have to be sensible [with Bajcetic]. He could train today fully and then not for four or five weeks. Thigo is in a very good moment. We just have to make sure we don't use him too early. It's about how he can be back in the long-term."

He's also said robbo a long way off yet, but he hopes training in January. And macca has an outside chance of newcastle.

Sounds like Thiago is ready but Klopp isn't ready for another broken heart. Until he appears as Robocop he isn't coming back.
