Bajcetic is the one that worries me more.

Thiago is a goner anyway in summer and even if he was fit tomorrow, he'll be injured again soon after.

I reckon Bajcetic is on a plan like the Jones one (I don't have any info on this, just a gut feel). I guess they know his body, at this time at least, won't stand up to football, so they're working with him over a long period to build him up correctly, rest him correctly when required and only bring in contact training when his body is ready. So I reckon he's not exactly injured, but more we are reshaping his body. The downside of course is losing 12-18 months at this stage of his career is massive. In my mind now, he's no longer a member of the 1st team squad as he will need to start from scratch once he's fit like any kid would.

And as for thiago, I discount him as a squad member for the same reason you do. If he's able to get on the pitch and provide some value, it's a bonus. But when we're looking at what's in our squad in January and question have we got enough for the run in, neither thiago or bajcetic are part of my numbers.

Alisson might be back tomorrow

Mac Allister looks like will miss more games injured in first half of season with us than he has in his entire time in PL before joining us!

I reckon with the euro dead rubber and the mancs next week they were never going to risk macca unless we had a bit of an injury crisis. Hope Ali is 100% if he's back. There's a lot of big games coming along after this, we don't need an aggravation of his hamstring. Kelleher worries the shit out of me, but I'd sooner pkaynsafe and keep him tomorrow and make sure Ali is available for next week and the Xmas programme.

Yeah i can't see us taking risks with Alisson.

Hopefully Mac Allister just needs a week for a cut to heal and will be available for the busy period ahead.

It feels like we are at a bit of tipping point on the injury front - could go either way at moment - we are a couple coming back from it looking ok, but also maybe only one or two going down from being in a spot of bother.

We need a bit of luck over next few weeks - get through to Feb and cope with all the games that come thick and fast and of course Salah's absence for a month in decent shape and still up there and we could be set very fair...

If is going to go wrong it will most likely be over this coming period and be down to squad being hit by injuries.

We have less injury prone players than we had after last year's clear out. But we're still 2 down constantly in midfield and we know 3 of the 4 centre backs are a worry. So when one goes with a big injury, it becomes harder to maintain those little ones across the others and you're just one big injury from disaster, but more likely regular niggles and management having the same impact. We went into this season too light imo, but so far we've been lucky enough with injuries to just about get through. It's felt to me really, aside from a small number of games, we've been on a knife edge all season.

It’s always the same mate. I’m pretty sure we’ve missed out on most of the silverware due to our own incompetence.

Every season is the same, either undercooked, short in some areas or reliant on people who can’t stay fit. Yes injuries happen but you can negate the situation by getting in players with better track records or having a more beefier squad so people get rested occasionally.

They pulled a rabbit at the end of the summer but we were still short and needed more work to be done.

And it’s not like the Club and Jurgen don’t understand the circumstances- his style is super intensive and he’s always moaning about playing too many games and having too many games.

We did the bare minimum last summer as always. Before the summer started people were talking 3 or 4 mids, 1 or 2 defenders and a forward. And that was before we lost Henderson and fab. The lads who've come in have mostly maintained fitness, which is good news (well aside from gravenberch is blowing out his arse by 60 mins when he starts), but the collection of crocks we all knew still existed, thiago, Gomez, matip, konate and we were all getting worried about Jota, have in the main shown we weren't wrong to label them like that. We maybe don't need more players. We just need to stop trusting in crocks.

Only people who judge heads over minutes.

The reason we had so many midfielders in the first place is because so many of them played so few minutes.

And we've still had 2 who have managed 0 premier league minutes between them all season and less than 90 in all comps. It's not possible to carry so many crocks.

Not seen anything from usual Twitter bozo’s. Where as their good news is normally garbage, their bad news is usually reasonably accurate.
