I think Truss is going to struggle to get through half the stuff she’s promising. She only attracted 113 votes from her fellow Tory MPs, with 242 voting for either Sunak or Mordaunt. The fact she has been backed by the majority of the ERG will likely piss off most of the more moderate (haha) MPs, who will be happy to make life difficult for her. Hopefully it will be a clown show again so the country will be in a position where they’re desperate to get them out at the next election.

She’s the ERG candidate and they are approaching theirs and their shady backers end goal. Anything else is just noise to appease the most militant cunts in the country: Tory Party members.

Yeah her own MPs aren't going to fall in line she's too weak. It's gonna be a rudderless government for the foreseeable. People are probably already on maneuvers to replace her.

I agree, I think it'll be the much misrepresented '79 winter of discontent but much worse for many. Industrial disputes, energy crisis, potential blackouts, infrastructure and services under extreme pressure, recession and high inflation. We'll probably have another wave of Covid just to really cripple the NHS. 

 

The elderly Tory members might believe they are immune from all this but they won't be.

 

The country will be led by a clearly deranged, ultra right wing dimwit. The outcome will be the Tories out of power for a generation despite the right wing media bias. The price many will pay for the next 18 months is another matter entirely.
