Le Tour 2022!

It's here again and how quickly a year goes by! Le Tour, the Tour de France, 2022 edition is back with a bang starting 1 July with a 13km time trial followed with Stage 2, a 202km ride, both in Denmark!

Disappointingly, there's no Cav this year as Quick Step have gone with Fabio Jakobsen as the lead sprinter. No Alaphilippe due to injury I believe. Can Gerraint Thomas make a challenge, Froome relive past glories or will it be a shoot out between Roglic and Podgacar or A.N. other?

After yesterday's 'rest' day, le tour returns to France after 3 stages in Denmark. Today's stage from Dunkirk to Calais is 171km over a mostly flat course.

Stage 9 of the tour see the first Alpine stage in the mountains before heading back into France and tomorrow's rest day.

 

Yellow jersey Pogacar just needs to stay on his bike to win this.

Cunt protestors interupt Stage 10 causing mayhem and breakaway leader having to be stopped.

 

All breakaway leads will be re instated once the peleton has got through the road block.

Stage is temporarily neutralised and all riders brought to a halt. It'll be hard when they get going for the first 5km or so.

Stage leader Alberto Bettiol was aggitated about being forced to stop when he had a 30 second lead but the commisars have said all time gaps will be re instated when the race re starts.

 

Bettiol has re started but the peleton is still halted.

Yep that final climb sorted them out and Pogacar loses the yellow jersey! Question is, can he keep in touch with new leader Vingegaard on Stage 12 or will he slip even further back?

The Tour completes the first climb of the day. Yellow jersey Vingegaard and Pogacar back in the peleton some 2m 26s behind the race leaders.
