The fans should have known what this could be given it's literally one day after a much bigger friendly.

Aye but it's extremely difficult to get tickets to see Liverpool these days so this is the only opportunity for a lot of local kids.

How is this a cash grab? It's against a smallish french side, not Barcelona. It's just so that some of the younger players can get some minutes.

It is a cash grab because they could have given those kids these mins behind closed doors against same opposition as opposed to selling 50,000 tickets for a game the day after our first team squad played in charity shield.

Or made it a fiver or something for tickets.

How much for adults and kids tonight?

Not 100% sure but i believe maybe the best part of £30 for 1 adult and a kid....

IMO charging the best part of £30 knowing the first team squad would be playing the day before is a bit shit. Should have been a flim!

Saw a bit of the women's game earlier. They were getting praised for going past a player even though they immediately lost the ball. That’s what Elliott does. He's got lots of potential but he needs to think much more about what he's doing and where he's going. He needs a picture inside his head.

Cash grab hahaha 3 kids go for free with 1 paying adult

Didn't realise was 3:1 for kids....that makes it a bit less of a grab to be fair but still smacks of a bit of a cash grab to me - kids especially want to see the stars and that was never going to happen and then after that kids care about result in these things more than adults do and an u21 team effectively were never going to match up to a half decent Ligue 1 side who qualified for Europe and have put out a strongish side.

Club could easily have made it free - but as i say the 3:1 kids ratio makes it a bit better.

Hopefully plenty of local kids are in, feel a bit sorry for people who may have travelled with only 1 mind!

Pricing:

Ticket prices

Adults – £27

Over 65s – £20

Young adults (aged 17-21) – £10

Juniors (aged 16 and under) – FREE. Tickets can be purchased at a ratio of 3:1 with at least one accompanying adult.

I said in our "how could we improve" thread that our young talent isn't quite at the level expected for a club of our stature and I think this vindicates that a bit. We could do with another wonderkid or two.

Most of the experienced youngsters have gone out on loan.
