Only Brighton (who downed tools for de Zerbi at the end of last season) and Wolves have earned fewer points in the past 22 games. Their 14th position this season is not an anomaly. It's a continuation of their decline since they won the League Cup in 2023. How he lasted so long is probably only due to the changes above him at United.

He was the best of the ones that have gone before him. Zero charm, confused tactics, no presence, poor discipline, weird head and a handful of points.
