If I was one of these golfers I’d ask the media if there’s a ban on dealing with the Saudi’s. Asking them if they’d have played in apartheid South Africa or Putins Russia now has no relevance at all if there’s no embargo on them and we’re sending fighter jets for them to slaughter poor Yemeni’s without any form of censure from the same hypocritical media. F1’s getting established out there and Eddie Hearns determined to take Joshua there and imo, we’re not far off seeing the CL final in that region soon.

However, I cannot fucking stand golf bores and that slimy little cunt Ian Poulter deserves everything he gets so fuck him & them.

Good post. The day they host the champions league there is the day the game dies IMO. There are a few countries whose actions should see them receive heavy sanctions. No way should people be entertaining Saudi Arabia trying to monopolise global sport.

And why not?

Scheffler has just set the all-time PGA tour record for money won in a season at 12 million.

He had to win four times, including the Masters, to do it.

Koepka will sign for what? A hundred million? One signature equals Scheffler's entire season, eight times over.

The question is long term.

They're cashing in on the celebrity/notoriety they've developed on the PGA tour.

Will that be enough to sustain their tour long term? Particularly if they're blocked from competing in the majors?

It will be interesting to compare this to the unmentionable, where they've been allowed to take over from the inside by simply buying teams, ignoring the rules, and overwhelming the opposition with money.

This would be like them setting up their own league, buying some of the top stars, and trying to go it alone, without being able to play in the CL (assuming they're blocked from the majors).

Is that right? I thought the Tour Championship at the end of the Fed Ex is worth £15m now?

That is a point system racket. Over and above official earnings.

I read that Phil Mickelson would have had to win the US OPEN 63 times to make as much as he playing in the LIV.

Anyone else think they may be focusing more on the golf now than Newcastle? They have paid more to Dustin Johnson than they have in transfers.

The individuals involved here are psychopaths and they aren't used to NO for an answer, certainly they aren't used to journalists giving it the big one. There must be shock in Saudi that they can't just bin bag these journalists. One way or the other they will own golf soon enough, the PGA will be crushed and Rory McIlroy is probably going to have an unfortunate swimming accident.

Tiger has already had a series of unfortunate women accidents!
