The sad thing is that either of the two figures in this could be Nunez and it works either way.

He's had a great chance to cement his place in the team with Jota out and if anything, he has regressed.

 

I like the lad but if we could get a good striker, who stays fit in this January, I would drop him faster than a bird with a nasty dose of the clap.

Using shit maths, accounting for the standard depreciation of a player over the course of the contract, if we did pay £85m for him you can knock 20% per year off his sale value to us which means anything over £34m is a bonus. Depends how badly another club wants him of course but any talk of recouping our outlay is nonsense. £40m would be a great return. Given that he's shite, though, we're unlikely to get that.
