Everyone liked the kid who ate crayons in class because it took the attention from them and what they were getting up to.

Last thing Salah wants is a player banging goals and taking opportunities away from him.

I'll bet you've got a Darwen Alert in your hall at home just in case you miss a chance to put the boot in.

Mo Salah on his favourite team-mate:

“It was Firmino, now I feel I generally like playing with Nunez. A lot of people don’t like him but I like playing with him. I see [the Q&A host] keeps shaking his head not liking [my answer]. I like playing with him in general. A player with different skills. Not a lot of people understand his game.”

Ain't that the truth Mo, lots of crescent gazers out there.

That's going to fuck with Code's head that

It's apparent he likes him, but what he likes is that he makes loads of runs and creates spaces for him/opportunities to find him with passes.

We could simply replace Nunez with a similar but better player.

Why would I need an alarm?

He does things well so infrequently you can rock up at any given point with a freshly polished boot.

We're still no further on than we were at the start, IF he learns the language, IF he starts banging them in, IF he starts improving his finishing, IF he significantly improves his all round play, IF he shows some tactical aptitude, IF he starts to show some consistency.....oohhhh then I tell you, we'll have some player etc etc etc.

The reality is after three years he starts the season on the bench because managers prefer other players ahead of him, he gets in because of injury/the need to rest a player, has a game where he looks like it's clicked and he scores, then a run of no goals with performances ranging from good to shit (where we start handing out medals based on how he celebrates), performances plummet and by the final third of the season he's back being a 70m+ bench warmer in a team desperate for goals and his only contribution is having a strop and deleting the club from his social media.

Bring on next summers 'this year will be his year' reset

Listen, I get it. It'd just be nice if you could give it a rest for 5 minutes, that's all. I can guarantee you that there is nobody on this site who has any doubts about your feelings for Nunez.

I totally understand where Salah is coming from, he like to play with players who return gifts at times, like playing the ball to him when he takes up good positions.

Diaz - 1 assist to Salah, got 5 in return.

Gakpo - 4 assists to Salah, got 7 in return.

Jota - 9 assists to Salah, got 5 in return.

Nunez - 11 assists to Salah, got 5 in return.

If Nunez was a better finisher Salah would obviously have got a lot more assists, but there is obviously a good connection there.

Firmino top this stat for Salah though with his 22 assists, with Salah assisting Firmino 14 times.

I said it last time and I say it again, the Diaz numbers are a bit shocking.

“The Diaz number are a bit shocking” you do know there are other players bar Salah don’t you Code? Fuck me.

Salah loves Nunez. Salah knows more about the game than all of you. He’s ace. Find another whipping boy ladies. End of discussion.

They have played together 97 games, 5652 minutes.

So far in his Liverpool career Diaz has got 12 assists in 118 games, we can obviously compare it with Salah  who has 12 assists already this season in just 21 games.

'Not a lot of people understand his game'.

Well, I certainly don't understand why he keeps misplacing simple passes and why he breaks down almost every attack he is involved with and can't finish for shit. This is his third season and other than the odd flash, he has not looked anywhere near good enough to be the top player we need to carry us to titles. Or even be a regular starter over Jota.
