City finished 10 points ahead of us but 1 miss cost us the title

Not the shocking defending against palace at home for example or the entire team capitulation against the shite,it was 1 player in 1 game

Right.

To be fair Nunez performance against Everton got even his biggest supporters to turn on him for a little bit.

2 seasons is a huge amount of games and time to show you're good enough. He never has. It's bizarre they gave him more time.

Actually it's not bizarre, he cost so much money, they didn't want to lose a huge amount so they must have told Slot "try your best, see what you can do"

He shouldn't have agreed to it though. It's annoying that we have to keep playing him in crucial title games.

I was shocked Slot didn't put Diaz up front and keep Gakpo on the left.

Last season he did. We should have won by 5 goals, we missed chance after chance. He did some brainless stuff that day, including not squaring a ball for sobolzlai for a tap in and shooting instead. The knock on effect that had on the team for the next few games was brutal.

You need your striker to score easy chances, or make good decisions. His decision making is so bad. You need to know you have a player that will put the ball in the net when we create for him. He didn't. He still isn't. He never will. His overall game play will cost us again. He's not good enough for a team wanting to win big prizes.

He absolutely cost us last season, and he will again if he keeps starting games.

He wasn't really hurting us before this game. He was kind of just going along for the ride and providing a bunch of decoy runs. It wasn't good enough either, but now that's the sort of game where you go that's that.

Thanks for reminding me of the Palace and Shite games in which he missed back-to-back 6 yards out sitters.

I went to the palace game..he had a shot where the keeper pulled off a brilliant save..don't remember a sitte

I remember the defence being absolutely atrocious .

Presumably he was also at fault for the shite scoring twice?

No, but he was responsible for missing those two sitters that he hit at the keepers.

He’s not up to it, but he wouldn’t be featuring as much if Jota hadn’t already - predictably -missed half of the season so far.

That’s a separate problem in itself.

All the more reason to move mountains to keep Salah for another season or two.

1 player missing 1 chance in a game doesn't "cost you the title' when you finish 10 points behind the champions.

It's the same as all that bollocks over the Gerrard slip.

By all accounts he was woeful tonight but he wasn't the only one

Right.

Honestly, you don't understand it. There's no point in trying to make you understand the physiological impact of something like that happening last season had on the team.

When you're in a title race you just need people you can rely on. People who don't make mistakes game after game. He's the catalyst.

It's like saying what Kelleher did today won't have a huge impact on the rest of the players. It will. How they handle it on Saturday we will have to see.

Oh and at Goodison Trent played a perfect ball to Nunez, 0-0, all he had to do was take it in his path and shoot. He fucked up the control and got tackled.

You think the rest of the players in our team have confidence in him? You think they don't see the shit he does? It has a knock on effect.

No wonder I stay away from the footy forum

Out of curiosity how many years experience do you have working with a premier league club?

I never said it cost is the title. I said you’d reminded me of two more games in which he’d missed gilt edged chances.

Kelleher has saved us a few times this season  so no j don't think his performance today will have an impact in the rest of the players.

He’s done, he’s a £60m cult hero that makes a tackle and every cunt wanks him off with ‘Nunez Nunez Nunez’ he’s probably the most backed shite signing ever.

Unbelievably, we're meant to think people have been mean to him, though. It's about the only time when rival fans making fail compilations on the internet trumps the influence of match-going fans, who seem to have been very patient and supportive with him.
