I'd sell Nunez and Jota. Jota is never fucking available he's like Costco Fruit loaf. I dont see how what was one of.. if not the least clinical strikers in the whole of Europe last season can score more goals with even less opportunities to do so. I think the Nunez we see now is how he will always be, either not good enough or just totally unsuited to us. He will have his moments but we need more than moments its why him and Jota are replaceable.

Cunha or Joao Pedro would play as 10's if we sign that sort of player. They would be more attacking alternatives to Szoboszlai.

I agree that he's not really a fit. He just seems like an afterthought and much of the focus is on the wide players. Regardless, he hasn't been good enough.

I’d sell Nunez, and see how Jota fares till the end of the season. If his fitness is still an issue we should get rid.

We need a prolific striker like peak Torres, not this dog shit.

But I do think the stylistic question is ultimately a bit pointless, especially at the highest level because you aren't playing matches with players who can't control a ball. Players at Liverpool mostly have a baseline level of technique.

 

Most managers will adjust what they do based on the qualities of their best players. It's what Slot has done with Salah, and with what he is producing, it's been the right decision. He has been the main focus.

 

If Nunez could score every game, he would be the focus. Ultimately, the problem is that he isn't good enough.

I’m a critic of Nunez in terms of his end product, but find it hard not to love that 30 seconds. I was fucking howling in the ground and when I watched it back it still made me piss myself. Fucking mad bastard.

Loved that. Didn’t Love him diving into a tackle 30 seconds later and almost getting sent off, but playing our berserker when they were going for slow control today really paid off

If he had caught whomever it was he lunged in on, he'd have been gone for at least 3 games. Very very lucky he didn't catch him.
