I realized that, but it's the same concept. Point stands.

Indeed. Just because a man who's trying to get into a woman's kecks engineers a way of making her contractually obliged to spend time with him and putting her in a position where she would be subject to disciplinary action if she said "fuck off you sleazy weirdo", that's no reason to call him a creepy stalker.

I'm no longer on the Darwin train. He's an inverted lightsabre, a less precise weapon from a less civilised age.

This version of liverpool is gonna be about precise attacks, taking chances and playing it safe when you're ahead. The days of taking 40 shots and maybe one going in have had their day.

I haven’t given up hope that Slot can find a way to get the most out of him, but he looks as far off being an integral part of the team as he ever has. There’s no doubting that he has significant strengths. However, the issue I can’t get away from is that he always appears caught between head and heart and therefore usually does the wrong thing.

When his instincts pay off you get outrageous goals and when his decision making pays off you see him put it on a plate for (usually) Mo. However, too often he’ll blam it when he should be more considered or he’ll dither when he should be more instinctive.

I’m not sure if that’s repairable at this level. If it is though, then the player Dave imagines would be realised.

At this point he’s Erik Maijer with a TLW fan club.

Nice lad. Capable of the odd worldie. But you can’t even describe him as inconsistent. Time to swap him for something more suitable.

The fact he can't speak English still is a fucking disgrace. I can speak a bit of Spanish purely from watching Narcos.

In fairness to him, this is the resident Spanish to English translator for players in the country:

If you are Darwin’s wife, how much time are you going to leave these two alone?

Ignoring the fact he can't finish his dinner, or that his English is still crap.

It still appears that nobody has explained the offside rule to him.

I've honestly, never, ever seen a player offside so often in my bloody life.

I remember torres back in the day, if he was called offside, and that was obviously pre var. You'd shout at the TV, I bet he's bloody on. And 99 times out of 100, he was onside.

That's the difference, he can't time his runs. He hasn't got the brains to do it.

Perhaps our pitch is too small for him, so that affects his judgements, I don't know. Or maybe we bought him when he had the anomaly of a super season.

It's kind of like rashford, was it two years ago he had a decent goal scoring season. And utd fans where giving it the large one. I think it might have been goldbridge, and he was tying head of sense, saying, that no, rashford had an anomaly of a season, and all his other crapppy scoring seasons are his usuals, the high scoring ones go against the grain.

Unfortunately, I think we bought Darwin off the back of two great games against us, and the fact he had a worldly season in a farmers league.

I'd never leave those two alone.

Yesterday didn't show or change anything for him, he did okay. Quiet, but that was mainly due to the team putting themselves under pressure. Good finish but a mistimed run on the offside one. Deserves more chances.

I sincerely hope they don't get into a heated, physical, sweaty argument which someone films.

I don't think his limited English is TOO big an issue. It would certainly be welcome if he improved on that, but Bobby was pretty crap at English and it didn't stop him playing extremely well.

I really am losing faith with him, though. He doesn't seem to know how to time/bend his runs to avoid being caught offside, he seems even less involved than last season in the build-up play (sometimes I genuinely forgot he was on the pitch), and his apparent obsession with social media is the last thing he needs when he's as thin-skinned as he appears to be.

Then again...His national manager seems to get (or, rather, 'got') consistently decent performances out of him. I know that's partly down to the different way they play, but all the same, it's the last thing to which I'm clinging - there IS talent there, somewhere.
