Must of been left post challenge.

Nah enough with the Nunez mocking it's time we believed. He's got a season to dig in. We all know it's there, he has got what it takes to be elite level. He just has to start showing it even those who are his most fervent supporters must admit he's got to deliver this season when his opportunities arise. It's on the coaching aswell some of these basic failures they have to hold their hands up, if he keeps being offside it's up to you to either adapt how you teach him or adapt how or when he is supposed to start his runs. If Slot has a lot of emphasis on personal coaching and giving players detailed packs and meetings on their performances and what he expects maybe Darwin will thrive.

He actually makes very good runs but often the ball isn't played to him early enough, so by the time he gets the ball he's already offside. That said, if he gets the ball early and has time and space to think, he often makes a right fudge of the opportunity. The key with him is finding that sweet spot of playing him in early enough that he doesn't run offside, but not so early that he has too much time to think.

Away to minnows is how you build confidence and GD.

Release the peacock.

Happy Slot and I agree on this matter.

Nunez's pressing wasn't good today, and he didnt really do much except a poor shot and trying to dribble and losing the ball in the process.

He was in our box and helped out Mac in clearing the ball.

Let's see what Slot can do with him before jumping on his back again.

Dom should have released the ball to him early atleast once.

I think this is really misleading.  I remember Brownie talking about it on the pod, and I have been open to being wrong and looking for this.  In fact, yes, he makes runs, but they don't suit our play.  It's not the fault of other players.  It's like he doesn't know when to run and when to drop short.  It might work in another team, but not this team.

I was so genuinely happy for him today when he scored.  That reaction of his was so vulnerable and authentic.  I think we both almost cried.

But removing the emotion from it all, Nunez just isn't a Liverpool player for me.  We've seen enough to know this.  Even if some of us are clinging on to hope with blind faith.  Deep down, we all know...

All very quiet today aren’t you you fucking shitbags

You've seen how this plays out for the last two seasons....

We're either right on schedule for a typical Nunez season (benched first few games, scores to get you all excited then inconsistently shit with a brief purple patch for the 'next season is his season' crowd) or this be the season he'll actually show he's learning.

Fair play, he was great yesterday, said it in the other thread. Absolute screamer that goal, and was pressing and tackling really well too. Hope he does it more often.

Just love him.

And it's summed up by the fact that he shouldn't have taken the shot.

Slot has already said it, but I was thinking "don't bloody shoot" as you saw him start to pull back his left foot.

Glad he did, what a wonderful goal, but he shouldn't have shot and him doing so furthers your point, in my opinion.
