Soft lad Macca - no chair, nothing:

Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister was forced to leave the Argentina dressing room to help his family gain access to the Copa America final amid “inhumane” scenes outside of the Hard Rock Stadium in Miami. Kick-off against Colombia was delayed by 80 minutes amid reports of ticketless fans trying to gain entry for the showpiece fixture.

Mac Allister’s mother, Silvina, said her 25-year-old son was concerned for his family, who were caught up in the chaos, and was in constant communication with them until he knew they were safe. "Alexis had to leave the locker room to help us get in because he was worried," Silvina said.

"I thought [the game] couldn't continue. I thought the game wouldn't be played because if the players thought they would resolve this, impossible that it would be played. It was inhumane. We are okay.

Given how few minutes he got in pre-season it was a surprise that he didn't get on towards the end of the game and Gakpo, who has come out publicly and said Slot see's him as a left wing came on as center forward.

You'd assume that he'll get his minutes early on this season on bigger pitches, against teams who aren't putting everyone behind the ball in the last 15 minutes.

Incredible important season for Nunez.

He needs to show that he can be a top forward that scores more than he misses.

In addition he has to prove he can play Slot ball. He needs to be able to press, keep the ball, pass the ball, and do not hit the post 1000 times a season. And then we have the 1000 offsides.

if not it's exit next summer.

Anyone working in a place where they were giving their all week in, week out but not, for whatever reason, achieving their desired goals might start to question whether they should stay or move on.

Darwin has looked pissed off at times I think, and has gone straight down the tunnel at the end of at least one game towards the end of the season (I can’t recall which one) so it’s possible he is doubting himself, the teams ability or the coach to get the best out of him here.

Personally I hope the speculation is wrong and he gets a few goals as that’s the best way to build confidence for a striker.
