Or maybe the lads just had enough of getting vile abuse levelled at him by the 'fans' on those platforms?

His comments have been switched off since 2022 apparently.

We've seen plenty of shooting practice videos where a handful of players are taking shots at the likes of Pitaluga.

It was more in response to the question of whether composure can be learned.

What posts in here do you both disagree with? It’s certainly one of the more adult conversations on here.

I’m sure nobody on here went on Instagram last night and gave him pelters.

We all want, well I certainly do, Nunez to become the 25+ goal a season striker we all anticipated him to be. There are serious question marks and whether he’ll get there and I think the vast majority of comments are fair.

We used to give unreserved support to whoever the manager selected yet now everybody wants to be that manager. If a player is chosen he gets support and if he isn't then so be it. There is just so much negativity it seems a waste of energy. My energy goes into backing the team over slagging them off.

I appreciate that. I don’t think its like myself to have a moan.

I don’t think posters are having a moan for moans sake. I think the majority of it is reasonably constructive.

We mostly all like Nunez, his all round game has come on leaps and bounds since we first signed him. As a centre forward, his job is to score goals, I don’t think anybody can say he doesn’t do that enough.

For me, the most frustrating thing is it isn’t getting any better.

Take penalties out the equation (I don't think they should count in a strikers stats) and his minutes per goal are more or less the same as Salah in the premier League, 183m per goal Vs 181m per goal

Eh penalties needs to be scored?

And? The vast majority of penalties are scored, around 90%, it's an easy, free shot on goal given to one player because it's been decided they are the designated penalty taker, it skews stats.

There's also the possibility that Nunez doesn’t care a  jot about what gets said on social  media but his wife might be upset by it and he’s removed it for that reason. Or more likely his agent told him to remove it as it looks bad. Either way I get the impression he loves the club but gets frustrated by his form hence him just getting down the tunnel yesterday.

He can’t complain about the support he gets in the ground as he gets his name sung for just doing the basics.

The only other option I can see is if the club has told him he’s not wanted next season but surely they’d wait till the season’s over before telling him that.

Think the league average is about 77%, this season is a bit of an anomaly as it's significantly higher than every other PL year.

Everything said its a bit weird to just remove everything related to the club you play for. It's next level petulance from a grown man, that doesn't care how it looks or whoever it is that made the decision to delete it. He makes countless bad misses and the fans at the ground still shout Nunez, from the people that matter he has been getting the support, he's been getting superb support.

Online is just all bullshit you could make a YouTube video about baking care bear cakes to sell and give the profits too a children's charity and you would still get shit in comments or DMs, its the nature of the Internet. With football you get your own fans giving you shit online, opposition fans giving you shit, people pretending to be liverpool or football fans giving you shit just because they like to do it. Pundits and journalists giving you shit. You enter the wastelands do not be surprised when you encounter the mutants.

90% of penalties are certainly not scored.

Here is the list of Liverpool penalty takers and their conversion rate.

Worldwide professional football average is 85%, not sure what the relevance of Dick Forshaw and his 2 out of 5 is, at no point did I say the all time Liverpool player conversion rate is....

I reckon Code wheels these stats out on dates, council meetings and on the tram to strangers.

"If the mayor of Malmo would look at paragraph five, subsection 22, he will see that Oyvind Leonhardsen had an xg of 12.NINE per cent."

"The fuck you on about?"

I back them at the match.

In their forum thread, I comment on their strengths and weaknesses.

It turns out that the Portuguese league is utter dog shit.

So much so that Gyokeres, the former 25 year old Coventry useless lump, is top scorer and won player of the month for 5 fucking months in a row.

We got done. Someone's head has to roll.
