Definite Torres/Cavani type vibes about his playstyle. Who knows if he will be good enough but looks a good new option and gives us a legitimate target for Trent and Robbo crossing.

We do score a load of headers and having that last gasp option of just launching it in there if need be, it'll be much better having a "target" man to try make something out of them

Didn’t really score that many headers.

Could be sour grapes but the Benfica fans are celebrating. Apparently he’s got two dodgy knees and would’ve been happy with anything over 30m.

I mean, it's a big fee. Even if they really rated the guy, Benfica sell their top young players all the time and this is a great sale for them.

They also had a vote in the paper whether it was a good deal for Benfica and it was 48% good. He also got voted player of the season today and Diaz came third.

What I've learned from Brexit is that 48% saying something is good is the same as 100% saying it's bad

If only Julian Ward & Co concentrated on reading fan forums, none of these terrible mistakes would ever happen.

When we were about to sign Fekir, as you know, everything was done, the shirt was on his back, when Klopp, out of curiosity, decided to log in to est1892's main (and only) football forum and see what was happening. It was there that he saw a post from DJSydney, pointing out that someone had told him that a fan on a Lyon forum had declared that he was glad Fekir was off because one of his knees was made of crisps. Klopp slammed down his laptop and shouted, 'IT'S KAPUT!!!!!'

Each to their own, beauty is in the eye of the beholder etc. but I’ve been studying photos of him all morning and I don’t agree with Klopp’s assessment; re: his handsomeness.

Granted, he does have a certain boyish appeal, but he’s not Alisson levels of drop dead gorgeous.
