Fuck UEFA And Fuck The French Lying Cunts

This is still absolutely infuriating. People being treated worse than animals.

The behaviour of Liverpool supporters at the ground, looking out for family, friends and other Reds who they didn't even know clearly saved lives on the evening.

I really hope the club finds a way to take on this legally.

It's great seeing the speed and reach of the response to the French authorities initial claims. Had they been allowed a free run, even for a day or two, they would have set a narrative that could've taken years to successfully deconstruct, if ever. We only have to look to the aftermath of Hillsborough to see how quickly shit sticks.

Not only Liverpool fans, but Real fans, British, French and Spanish journos, even the French police and politicians are turning on the claims made and the people making them. (Sad to see a few of ours - including on the first pages here - accepting that French narrative when there was no reason to and every reason not to, but there you go.) As has been said already, this is where social media, as well as the advent of camera phones, comes into their own, with images, videos and shared experiences being broadcast in a way we couldn't have imagined a generation ago.

I have to credit the Club here as well. They went straight into action against the French, assertively and immediately calling for an investigation into the organisation on the ground and the conduct of the police, and repeatedly jabbing away at the (changing) claims, putting the authorities on the back foot and having to defend their claims, which, of course, they couldn't because, well, they're weren't true. The Club have taken a lot of stick, including from me, for having a tin ear where fans welfare is concerned over the years, but they haven't fucked around this time.

And, for anyone fuming about what other clubs fans (or any cunt for that matter) is saying about us right now, fuck them. To my mind they either don't believe what they're saying, or they're so ill-informed as to the facts that have emerged that their opinion matters not one bit.

The response from the club is what it should be. It doesn't need a pat on the back. This is how low our expectations are of our owners, that we applaud what even our enemies are doing (the s*n). And it gives them ammunition as to why they should and could still run a super league, because uefa is not fit for purpose.

The Club could've easily ran with a mealy-mouthed apology for the behaviour of a 'small minority of fans who do not represent what we stand for', given a number of fans were doing exactly that in the period following the reports from France. They've done what a club operating proactively, inquisitively, strategically and in the best interests of its fans and the Clubs own reputation would do, and that's not something we should've necessarily expected given their past record, as you well know.

Still, your antipathy towards FSG is so ingrained I really don't think anything they could've done would've got anything other than a sneering response from you, although arguing that their motive here is to get more 'ammunition' for a super league is particularly cynical, especially when you've already said that they've done what they should have.

Even the s*n hasn't done that. Your expectation of our club owners behaviour is below that of even that rag. They did what they should do, no more, no less.

I fully expect the FA and Premier League to say they won’t comment until the result of the “independent” inquiry from UEFA is known.

Yeah, that's the solidarity they expected during the ESL bollocks in action, isn't it. Not like they had a delegation there that could draw its own conclusions...
