  1. 1. Scones with clotted cream and jam or Scones with jam and clotted cream

    • Clotted cream first followed by jam
    • Jam first followed by clotted cream
    • Another combination including multiple layers

If you pronounce it so it rhymes with bone you may as well be licking corgi shit off the queens slippers.

Ill be honest the preference of what goes on first doesnt bother me that much, just as long as I can heap loads of both on top and clog my dickhead arteries

Grockle twats.

Cream then jam. Scone and Jam should be homemade. Clotted cream should be as local as possible. All served room temperature.

The oil based one stops the water based one soaking into the fresh scone. Won't actually quibble with how people want their own food, but serve it backwards to me and I will bitch like a five year old.

Let people make their own up, you never ration clotted cream in the Westcountry. Your presentation skills are not appreciated.

Butterers are an embarrassment, whipped creamers should be thrown from the Tamar bridge.

Isn't one of them the Cornish way and the other then Devon way? Also, do you pronounce it 'sconn' or 'scown'?

One of thems the right way, and the other is what air BnB owners convince themselves is more authentic to the people they displaced.

Obviously Sconn. If you say scown I'd assume you are from Bath, which you'd also pronounce wrong.

Homemade Victoria sponge > scones

Actually, fuck it, I’ll have both!

Wouldn't that depend on who made it? The @lifetime fan version would probably need a knife and fork.

Will you have scones next weekend? Which order will you load up your scones?

It all comes out the same way, so I'm really not precious about it. When I'm loading my own, I find it easier to go jam first, but I'll eat whatever you're offering.

I lived in Devon for 2 years, so cream then jam.

Any other way is fucking backward and from a presentation point of view looks totally shit.

Next some of you cunts will be having currant scones with your cream and jam.

Is there another way?

I have cheerfully ambled along for years assuming the odd scone is a low-key treat, and now find out I am tearing the fabric of the universe on every occasion.
