Tiredness.  I do recognise that some players do bottle it from time to time but I don't think anyone bottled it today.  They're just mentally and physically fucked.

Yeah, the fact we fizzled away is evidence of this. Gave a good showing of ourselves for the first 30 minutes then the sharpness fell away, just didnt have the energy to carry it on.

Looks like Real/Carlo sussed this out. Ride out the storm then pick us off later on.

It wasn't to be.

I don't think it was because we didn't perform (although the goal attempts got more and more ragged in that last 30 minutes). We didn't manage to make hay while on top, and Postman Pat had a worldy in goal for them. I think we were a bit better than the Athens final, but there were an awful lot of parallels between this game and that one. Ancelotti set up to sit deep and hit on the counter, and if they went ahead, they would carry on doing that and add some shithousery into the mix. I'm actually surprised that Dani Carvajal wasn't at the heart of it, or that Casemiro didn't repeatedly hit the deck and scream clutching his face.

I'm gutted that this group of players 'only' come away with 2 trophies to show for this season. I'm gutted for Klopp. I'm gutted that Ibou lost his unbeaten record in Liverpool colours. I'm gutted for the fans that travelled. I'm gutted for the onesthat got caught up in the teargas shenanigans outside the stadium. I could probably say more but right now I can't put it all into words. I'm just gutted.

We huff and puff too much. We need a midfield that offers something through the middle. I'm fucking heartbroken they aren't that good Madrid but I've never felt something so inevitable in my entire fucking life.fuck fuck fuck. To all the neutral cunts that might read this.. our disappointment is your wildest ambition, fuck you. The risk of aiming high is if you get there the fall is all the greater but if you don't get there you'll never know the highs.

Also worth mentioning there's only three decent teams in the league and we couldn't beat them in six attempts.

Sorry to say but we're flat-track bullies.

And the reverse applies they couldnt beat us. Flat track bullies FFS

Last thing I'll say; I have nothing really against the performance in general, but we did a terrible job with the ref, who yes, was also a bit of a cunt.

It doesn't work with these UEFA refs to have the big English captain scream in his face for decisions. We looked wound up and annoyed, meanwhile, as usual the Madrid players basically play it perfectly with him. They just looked calmer.

I don’t know about that but we clearly need a genuine striker, someone guaranteed to put the fucking thing in the net, not easy I know but we’re way too powderpuff

A goal poacher.

City have realised this already.

Madrid played like Wimbledon, embarrassing considering the rep they like to crow about, no doubt the Spanish football press will go on about it like some kind of victory for football.

Keita is absolutely shite. Spooned a chance, gave away a free kick and nearly handed them a goal. He needs dropkicking this summer.

Our attack needs work again. Three great individuals up front but the positioning and balance is all wrong since Diaz came in on the left.

Salah has been phoning it in for month now and despite all his revenge talk was largely anonymous. I've got no time for contract guessing games when the player in question isn't performing. If he doesn't sign soon we should get rid in the summer and spend the money on someone who wants to be here.

I know it’s a massive game but is it possible to lose a match without getting the fucking pitchforks out for the players?

Most of our players are excellent most of the time. But we haven't been clinical this calendar year. And we're extremely vulnerable at right back, as every opponent in the world recognises.
