He is. He’s taken the step up to being a decent PL player. Good individually, and work rate has improved a lot. Main weakness now imo is decision making. Which could stop him from becoming a top class player, in other words good enough to have a long term future here.

Thought that was going to be really bad for Gomez there, glad to see he's walking around.

 

Shite first half. If we really don't want to play any of the first team players, and all we can do is cross it in, we could try bringing Origi on for some physical presence at least. Elliott and Jones have done okay but I don't think we can play them both at the same time with Milner as a DM.

Gomez is Gomez's worst enemy. 

I've always wondered why he is so far behind VVD in bouncing back from injury despite actually recovering first.  It's his mentality, he's not moving on and he's not dealing with the mental aspect of physical challenges, which is why he's been switched to RB.

We've let them have one chance, which they converted due to a ref mistake and deflection, and have created chances. We're playing well, especially considering who is out there.
