I would much rather see this Villarreal side have success than Man City, Man United, Chelsea or PSG. Everton’s behaviour was worse last week.

Yea I agree, the diving all over the place is shit but they hit us with two haymaker's in the first half, unfortunately for them we just went to a wholly different level. I'm not sure it's that they couldn't sustain their level or if Emery wanted to play for extra time/pens but whatever the case was both sides were completely different teams from the first half.

On to Paris, hope we get Madrid, city can get fucked

How would you like to be,

A Scouser in Gay Paris?

Walking along on the banks of the Seine

Winning the European Cup once again.

We'll go up the Eiffel Tower

And stay up there half an hour,

Cos we won't be too late

When we celebrate,

We're the Scousers in Gay Paris.

Everton weren’t always like that. Their gamesmanship is a recent thing.

Tactically, a very interesting tie. Villarreal basically gave up the Anfield leg, then came out on fire. Then, once they tied the game, I don't think they knew how to play anymore. Not knowing if they needed to drop back and at the same time, they didn't keep up the tempo. Ended up not really doing anything in the second half.

As for us, if there's maybe a simplistic reason why we are where we are, it's Diaz. He's a different level. He's added everything we could hope for and an extra top player to take us to the brink.
