Ref made a big show of pointing to his watch to show he was noting the time to add it on when one of their players went down injured, then blows up dead on one minute. Unfortunately he's played right into their hands by blowing up for every little bit of contact and letting them time waste to their heart's content.

I don't think we've done too much wrong. Thiago's hit the post, Mane and Salah have both had chances they perhaps should have done better with, and a few times the ball just hasn't really dropped for us. Their keeper looks pretty iffy and has been lucky to get away with a few unconvincing parries. Just keep going and surely the breakthrough will come sooner or later.

its a 2 legged tie against a team that was always going to park the bus we just need to be patient i suspect we will get job done over in spain where these will be more open

Yip I think we’ll be just as dominant, with, as you say, more space and our euro away record to back us up. Jurgen always gets the boys to improve 2nd half. There’s goals in this game yet.

Maybe should’ve scored but mostly only really had half chances. Largely controlled the game so far and if it continues anyone would expect us to score. One thing maybe Klopp could mention is having our players expect the rebound a bit more. Twice on shots from Diaz if any of our strikers hadn’t overran the play or if any of midfielders had stormed into the box we’d have likely had a goal. Let’s see what the second half brings.
