Apologies if this is posted elsewhere, havent seen anything.

The big man is seriously ill in Spain with covid complications. Loved Tosh when he played with Kev up front, they were deadly and had a great partnership. Still give it the old clap, clap, clap Toshack chant when others sing something else. Hope you pull through Tosh, we're all rooting for you.

Liverpool legend and former Wales manager John Toshack is in intensive care after suffering complications in his battle against Covid.

Respected Basque daily El Diario Vasco says the 72-year-old’s condition has worsened in the last few hours after medics confirmed he was suffering “serious pneumonia.”

Toshack, who had a successful managerial career with the likes of Real Madrid and Real Sociedad, is said to be at a hospital in Barcelona where he lives with his wife Maite.

There has not yet been any official comment from his family or the hospital.

Local reports said the Welshman, who began his playing career with hometown club Cardiff City before joining Liverpool in 1970 and going on to form a brilliant partnership with Kevin Keegan, was admitted to hospital on Monday after falling ill at the weekend.

He has reportedly been in intensive care ever since, with his oxygen levels dropping dangerously and complicating his health situation in the last few hours.

There's that famous time when he brought Swansea to Anfield after Shanks's death and, for the one minute's silence, he took off his trakkie top to reveal a Liverpool shirt. A top class forward who was peerless as a header of a ball and very good with his feet, too. And in this country he remains ridiculously under-appreciated as a manager, who was far more influential abroad than either Robson or Venables, and far better-engaged with the culture, too. Hopefully he'll pull through this.

He had brand new tracksuits made for the Swansea squad that day.

Peter Jones described on BBC radio that afternoon that Toshack's motivation was "when you go to Anfield you have to look your very best."

I didn't know that. Great little detail.
