Apart from money, he may wish to play for one of the more traditionally "glamorous" international clubs, i.e., Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern at a push.

And there may be financial incentives in addition to wages to join PSG.

I can't see any other realistic alternative club.

I made this point in work. At this level whoever they sign is only going to improve them incrementally. It’s not like they’ll win 10-0 every game instead of 5-0. Finding ways to improve things like fitness and conditioning can have as much as if not more impact at the top top end.

At least we’ve got salbutamol to fall back on.

He may be the difference to get them a champions League? Hopefully not...

According to the city statement, Haaland (£65M) has cost less than Maguire(£80M). They obviously didn’t include some of the trivial costs like his wages.

Well I hope he works out just like Maguire has, and falls on his arse.

...and his tits.

This might be absolute bollocks but given Haaland's abilities he strikes me as a player who will make them much more likely to beat teams even slightly weaker than they are and more likely to lose to teams as strong or stronger than them.

He looks world class already or is nearly at that level, but I don't really see him fitting into a Pep team. I mean great players and great managers normally find a way but my gut feeling is he would have been better served going to Bayern or Real in a years time.

Just like us,City play a very unique way. You look at Diaz he fits us like a glove. No doubt Haaland will score a lot of goals, but I just don't see him improving their first eleven. Sounds like a mad thing to say. He's obviously a better player than Jesus, but Jesus knows his role there. This could be a Zlatan at Barca scenario.

As long as Klopp's here, I fancy our forward line to score enough goals no matter who leaves or stays.

Yeah. Any option in the "who is the most important member of the front 3" thread, is wrong. With Klopp, the answer is nobody and everyone is replaceable.

They already have enough quality to win the CL, it’s other aspects were they come short. Nerve, mentality, belief, luck even. Or a certain je ne sais quoi, which is French for soul.

Since Haaland joined Dortmund he has pretty much monopolised the goalscoring. But Dortmund score fewer now than they did before he signed.

Clutching at straws maybe but....

Same for Utd with Ronaldo I think.

Not a bad point if true, actually.

Love goats, me, but clearly not as obsessed with them as someone in your household…or was that posted from work? Anyway Haaland is certainly bagging lots of them. Er..I mean goals.

Here's to hoping he has troubles transmuting.

Great word, but I fucked up. We want him to transmute. From the element of world class-ness to the element of shitness. If I’m not mistaken, which I could be. Bloody hell that goat porn header has put me off.
