I see Dortmund are bidding €33m for Sébastien Haller from Ajax.

If that is the height of their ambition, Bellingham should cut his losses now, stick in a transfer request and push to sign for us this window.

Apparently through an ITK i met driving a cab ManU have already offered Dortmund £150M for him.

Have Arsenal signed a new player or promoted some dweeb in their Sports Science division?

He’s got a really long neck.

Reminds me of this exchange on Twitter:

My Uncle is friends with Colin Harvey who reckons Bellingham is coming to us next year. Apparently Harvey is a nice bloke but how the fuck he'd know is beyond me.

I don't mind us 'freeing up' a space so long as we fill it. Otherwise it's like finding that you've lost a 20 quid note and comforting yourself that it's freed up a space in your pocket.

Completely different types of nobhead though mate. Robbo is one of the soundest fellas in the game, zero arrogance and goes out of his way to do things for people. He just fights for everything on the pitch which is why away fans hate him.

Maddison is a cocky arrogant little fart and he isn't even that good. Certainly not good enough to be arrogant. At least Vardy can back up being a cunt by being shit hot at his job.

His numbers were very good last year, 12 goals and 8 assists, and we know he’s well suited to the premier league. If we’re to bring in a natural playmaker/no 10, you’d struggle to find a better option IMO.

With Maddison, you'd have to get him to press at a high level or else, he's a luxury player that likely isn't good enough to play in a big team. And being English makes him terrible value. He'd only be worth it if he had a year left on his deal. Maybe someone can get him for something reasonable next summer.

Even Grealish, who is a similar profile to Maddison, but a better player, and who Pep turned into a good presser, has had to adjust, and it's been difficult.

Grealish never produced the same output level as Maddison. He’s just a more aesthetically pleasing footballer stylistically.

Grealish was putting in consistent man of the match performances for a dreadful Villa team, and was subsequently bought for 100m by one of the best managers of all time.

Yeah, but apart from all that...

City clearly overpaid for him, even they’d admit that. I don’t think they’re that far apart, if at all.

Then what is attractive about having to overpay for Maddison?

Southampton quoting £75m for Ward-Prowse.   Okaay.

Nice footballer and of course his free kicks are boss....But that is a ridiculous price.

I don’t propose we pay anywhere near that, am thinking half that at most.
