'The Loneliest Sport'

'Sinatra was very nice that morning, very encouraging, he told me I could win, how so many people were counting on me to win back the championship from Clay.

After I lost the fight, I paid Sinatra another visit in his suite. I told him I was sorry I had let him down, and all the others, but Sinatra was a very different guy after I lost to Clay. I was talking to him in his suite and then he did a strange thing: He got up and walked away all the way to the other side of the room, and he sat down there, so far away I could hardly talk to him. I got the message. I left.'

- Floyd Patterson

Would be pretty sweet if he knocked out Canelo and sailed off into retirement, ala Marquez against Pacquaio.

That's exactly what I was thinking today. Train for power shots and give himself 5/6 rounds to try take him out.

He’s going to come to get it.

I do think they could fight until they’re 90 and it would be close every single time.

Golovkin could run him over in a tank over there and Canelo would still get the points win

Thing is has Canelo ever even been shaken? He's KO'd Kovalev who hits harder than GGG. I think the more fights they have the more Canelo works him out and picks him off. I think if GGG went all out on a 6 round KO, it would be a very foolish tactic.

You're right. Canelo's chin is well proven and basically unshakable. That thick neck of his reminds me a lot of Joe Joyce, just built for combat.

Yeah I was thinking of Usyk with those ridiculous traps.

Surprised you went with Usyk.

Joyce’s neck, shoulders and general thickness always amazes me for a such an athlete.

Unless Fury or Usyk can keep turning him and jab him, it’s going to be very hard night to beat him. Even if you win, you’re going to be pay a big price.
