Welcome to Liverpool Luis Diaz

I always remembered back in the 90's and naughties, we'd sign someone and they either took ages to gel with the team or more often than not, they flopped, while those fucks in Manchester always seemed to get it right.

Diaz looks like he's been here for years, absolutely no issue slotting In.

Great signing.

Thought he had a poor first half. Couldn’t beat his man and was playing sloppy, short passes to Tsimikas down the left.

Much improved in the 2nd half though. Great touch and finish for the goal and then showed real aggression in his press and tackling late in the game.

Hopefully continues to have a positive impact in this title race.

What an ideal start to his Liverpool career.

He's made some really positive contributions before today, then goes and scores a class goal like that. Even better that it wasn't just a stat-padder, but actually killed off what had been a nervy game.

A nice touch from Klopp giving him a chance to feel the love at the end too.

And he got a VERY big Jurgen hug too!

Looks a great addition to the squad.

I noticed inside a ten minute spell towards the end of the game today he won it three times off an opponent inside their half. Exactly what Klopp is looking for, and doing it so late in the game proves both fitness and the right mentality.

Possibly one of the most important parts of his game, he's going to indirectly lead to a lot of goals with his relentless pressing from the front.

Hope he gets a decent song, I get that people wanted to show him our support but I'm not a fan of us using the Suarez one.

I fucking loved that Luis Suarez song and will sing it with huge gusto for our new number 23. The very tune itself might send a shockwave of terror coursing through the veins of many premiership defenders still traumatized by their memories of being humiliated by Suarez a decade ago.

That tune is like an electrifying bolt to the testicles, Michael Myers is back. Run and hide.

Oh Luis Diaz he is so wonderful, he scores a goal,

Oh he's beautiful, magical,

When he runs down the wing he is fast as lightening, it's frightening,

And he makes all the Kop sing

Der der derderderder feeder derderderderderder

Would bang the chick at 48 seconds. Would last half that time. That is all.

EDIT: And the blonde at 1m.

Sounds like Ob la Di, Ob La Da at the end there.

As phenomenal as Alisson is and as promising as Kelleher has looked, we’ve really missed a trick by not signing Oblak for proper usage of that tune.
