He's gonna be on more than 56k. Surely that's the number after taxes or something.

It'll be his basic excluding any bonuses. 56k after tax, well it depends how accurate the figure is. He'll be in the 45% tax rate so maybe around 75k pre tax? Bear in mind he'll have the personal allowance and 25% tax band up to about 38k

You don't get personal allowance if you earn more than 125k a year

Well, what do you want people to say? The club have been great with attacking signings under Klopp and Klopp is obviously a huge part of that, so they deserve some trust, but there's not much to go by. The majority of people here don't watch the Portuguese League, nor is the Portuguese League really competitive. So, it's wait and see.

This is the biggest gamble the club has made under Klopp IMO.

Yes, correct. I was mixing up weekly with annual wedge.

Definitely the first time in a very long time that anyone has mentioned UK taxation personal allowance in the context of elite footballers wages. Made me giggle anyway.

Sorry, Luis. One Spurs fan thinks you’ve chosen badly.

problem now is that he is at Spurs and not Juventus: It is easy to see that the lure of first team football, Top notch training facilities and one of the worlds best stadium comes in seccond place to most players,
when the likes of Diaz chose, a mediocre training ground, a mediocre stadium and a shit city with probably a lot of bench time over us, So yeah I bet getting players at Juventus was a breeze compared to Spurs

Spurs think their shiny toilet bowl is some kind of lure for players, players don't give a shit about stadiums unless the stadium is famous and even then its far back in their list of demands. We could end up owing spurs a huge Thank-you if their attempts to sign the player forced our hands maybe he can contribute to success this season. Imagine if he's a difference maker.
