I think we're already open to sensible offers for Nat and Taki, aren't we?

I'd guess so, the propaganda is already cranking up that we're happy to go into the second half of the season without selling anyone so I'd imagine we're a day away from one leaving.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Phillips, Minamino, Origi and Neco Williams all leave before Monday now.

Not a fan of how this is being framed around the other teams we 'beat' to the signing. Who gives a shit? If we only went in because we heard other teams were in, then that hints at a problem in our transfer process, not something to crow about...

Not that I think this is knee-jerk or anything, just think winning on the pitch should be the thing we beat our chests about, not winning transfer windows...

Looking forward to seeing him on the offal being taught how to say things Scouse like chicken and Fazakerley.

I won't believe he's ours until he's saying: 'I can't understand the Scouse of the Trent Alexander Arnold and the Curtis Jones HAHAHAHAHA'

I'd be keeping Origi. Phillips should probably move on for his career. Don't really get the Neco thing, I've seen him mentioned elsewhere as possibly going out. Surely we need him for RB cover until summer at least? I know others can possibly slot in, but still.

I'd say it's the other way around, other clubs have shown an interest, in Spurs' case, a genuine one which has forced us to move, perhaps one window early.

My guess would be that the club think that Connor Bradley has the potential to be better than Neco, and see an opportunity to get a decent price for Neco. Connor's probably not quite ready to be Trent's immediate back-up, but Joe Gomez is, currently(!), injury free and could fill in. I also hope we keep Origi - if we genuinely aspire to fight on 4 fronts in the future we need these guys. Such a shame that he had to be injured at the time we needed him most, he's so frustrating.

Yeah, I'm meaning the tone of the coverage, more than the actual events that led to the bid going in. All the LFC journos towing that line and I just think it's all a bit shit. Not horrendous, or embarrassing, or infuriating, just naff.

I couldnt give a fuck about the tone of the coverage, all journos towing the line? What the fuck do people want? Even when we're spending £50m on a player, it's all doom and fucking gloom!

I can remember the days when plenty of players we were 'deffo' signing only to see them ending up elsewhere and headlines in the news '(insert club name) hijacks Liverpool's bid for (insert player's name)!' and being thoroughly pissed off.

What are you talking about you bloody tit? I literally said I'm not up in arms about it, no 'doom and gloom' at all.  It's just playing to Twitter gallery as far as I can see and it's shite.

How is a signing playing to the twitter gallery, for fuck's sake? It's the twitter gallery mob who cause the rukus not us signing a player.

We've had a really good few weeks in terms of some pretty big and important wins. Now we'll move on to an even more critical period with Salah, Mane, Dias, Thiago, Elliott and Keita added to the squad. Not bad at all.

Well, if you put it that way...

Again, I'm talking about the coverage, not passing comment on the signing. I'm excited by the signing, and was trying to make a simple comment. Clearly not simple enough.
