My brother-in-law is one of those English people who's latched onto something in their ancestry to differentiate themselves. He was dead proud of his Welsh side, as his gran came from there; supported Wales in Rugby, gave his kid a Welsh name etc. Long story short, turns out old grandma Wales was born in Suffolk and her whole family was as Welsh as the white cliffs of Dover. Laugh? I nearly puked.

I used to get S4C in my bedroom when I was a kid instead of channel 4. Sgorio on a Monday night was ace. All the European footy goals from the weekend with one caveat …… it was in Welsh

I was always amused by the fact they have loads of modern words that appear to be English words with o added to the end.

They used to have a rally programme called Ralio which was pretty cool as they covered all of the clubman stuff. I have tapes of it somewhere from events I did, but all commentated in Welsh.

Lovely folk. I was sent to Cardiff as an appy. Working in telephone exchanges as a tech. 2nd day there the foreman comes up to me and says we're having a game at lunchtime one of the lads has brought a ball wanna join? Me..."Oh yeah" . At lunchtime I get out there all enthusiastic and they bring out a fuckin rugby ball! Spent 6 months there lovely folk with a great sense of humour.

Used be a Welsh bloke who went in our local when I was a kid. Bob Pugsley ( played rugby league and apparently a real hard case, a quick Google brings him up)

He once put a Porno (a dirty magazine as my dad described it) in my dads Sunday Times. My dad went toilet came back, opened his paper and out it fell. In a Welsh accent " look at little Terry, it's always the quiet ones " he was a lovely bloke
