It probably is better for us but the bigger picture is the way fixtures appear to be being manipulated by certain clubs with little resistance from the authorities. A precedent is being set and it’s not a good one.

I agree. I can see both sides, it may benefit us, it may not.

But, some clubs have got away with having an extended break then voted against a shut down for other clubs. How come united had such a massive outbreak of covid yet have had absolutely zero sanctions applied?

Dont believe stuff that united and spurs did no training whatsoever during their 'shut downs.' Most of these players have home gyms and while pedalling a bike isnt the same as running, over the short term, you dont lose overall fitness.

The clubs who've had 10 day breaks and more than 1 game called off due to their inability to field a team should not be given any concessions when it comes to re arranging fixtures.

The clubs who didnt have games called off due to covid in their clubs must not be made to play 2 fixtures in 48 hours and if there's little room to rearrange, then the clubs who caused the fixture pile up should be the ones punished.

City haven't had a game called off yet. No doubt, like last season, they'll arrange themselves a little break at some point, likely when the fixtures get tricky. I reckon when they host Chelsea on 15th January.

Not so sure...think they'll want to carry on building up a big lead first then have a little break maybe mid Feb.

These figures are interesting and take into account the now called off games. In the period between Boxing Day and end of January, Liverpool will now play 7 times, chelsea 8, arsenal 8, spurs 8, city and united will only play 6 each.

Sporting integrity me arse.

I'm not sure the point you're making except city and United aren't in the league cup anymore?
