Are the semis at the same time as Afcon?

The second one is. The first leg is 6 days before it starts - not sure if the players will be gone already or not.

But you could probably get really good odds on a Kaide Gordon goal or two right now before the bookies figure out that he's likely to start.

Yes. The problem is, refs let several players do it over and over again, and then they finally lose patience and book one of them, and then they know they can just spread it out. If it's time wasting it's time wasting. The first one needs booking to stop the game being messed up. Oh yes, and any club that gives ball boys bloody bath towels to dry the balls every throw in, clamp down on that as well!

Ban towels. Easy fix.

Sounds like the mad bastard of a game against Arsenal in this competition a couple of years ago. That Arsenal side had first-teamers like Bellerin, Mustafi, Kolasinac and Ozil in it, and tonight's Leicester team was probably their first-choice Xi from what they had available. Both games featured us looking down and out thanks to our mistakes. Both games featured a late rally culminating in a stoppage time equaliser to take it to pens. Both games featured Keeva heroics in goal during the shoot-out.

For all the questions about Klopp's starting line-up tonight, he has to juggle the fact that this is the first of 3 games in less than 6 days. Some of the guys will have more involvement in all those games because we've had a number of first-choice options sidelined by positive Covid tests, and another who will be serving a suspension. Klopp can't flog the players into the ground. He has to shuffle the pack and that means we'll have to use some players who are extremely rusty (like Big Joe), some youngsters who clearly are not quite ready (Bradley, Koumetio), and players like Morton who looks like he's beginning to feel the intensity we play (and train) at. Players can cope with that as a one-off but when asked to do it every 3 days or so, that's when they are tested.

I fully expect Leicester to rest the likes of Vardy, Tielemans and Maddison at the weekend, and I fully expect Schmeichel to become a shrinking violet for that one (if he plays). Then Rodgers will look to go full strength for the league encounter against us. That's pretty much what we've seen from teams that face us and City in successive games. The City one is usually the meat in the sandwich.

I fancy Spurs to beat them. Chelsea are wobbling with injuries, and Spurs are only going to get better drilled under Conte.

Same. Spurs are likely to take it more seriously now that they have been kicked out of that European competition.

Chelsea will have Kepa in goal for both matches also.

And yet again the ref let him walk up to the spot and mess around before most of the kicks. Why that is allowed against us is a mystery.

Jota was ace. The cunt threw the ball down in front of himself thinking Jota would come and get it, and Jota just stood there until the ref went and got it.

That high point was before the Burnley game he got injured in a few seasons ago.

He played 28 times in the title winning season where we won 99 points. I prefer Matip but he was excellent that season.

He hasn't recovered well since the last injury and I presume the fact that he isn't getting game time and is currently 4th choice means he has no rhythm. He is a very good centre back though
