I assume they'll go back to the bubble protocol that was used last time, though how much support they get from the players I don't know.

If they do that then they have to either close doors, or significantly reduce numbers or the whole thing is an illogical farce, unless you mitigate by saying 'personal responsibility' and remove care of duty from the fans.

Have to admit, given the “major incident” news yesterday, it’s somewhat  incomprehensible this is being allowed to be played. Regardless of the players, there’s going to be 60k there today using crowded public transport, drinking in over crowded sweaty pubs, screaming, singing & spitting on each other.

Yet again, supporters are the last thought.

On top of this Aviva WC are cancelling trains so fans might be screwed over further.

If we can play then we should play, we've got far too much for Tottenham and don't want to let City open a gap.

Much better to have the points on the board.

Our best 11 has too much for them...not so sure one missing maybe 3 or 4 does.

It seems that all or most of our squad is fully vaccinated, so the real worry (according to some of the GF loons) is a spate of myocarditis.

I love that the possibility of previous COVID infections being to blame never cross their minds, despite instances of sports people falling ill last year pre-vaccine (e.g Eduardo Rodriguez formerly of the Red Sox) or some who’ve suffered being unvaccinated (Christian Eriksen).

Speaking as someone whose heart has been exhibiting some less than pleasing behaviour due to an infection (pre-vaccine!) sustained last year, it would be great if the kooks, conspiracy theorists and basically anyone who starts foaming at the mouth and shitting themselves whenever they see a face covering could just stay indoors for a couple of years. It’d be a fantastic help in the long-run, and do wonders for their blood pressure too.

Agree. We’ve also shown signs of lower energy levels over the last few games imo.

Depends a lot which state they’re in after a break. If key players on their side were actually ill and isn’t fully match fit yet we of course should benefit from that. If not, and they got some proper rest and the chance for Conte to work with them om the training ground, it could be the other way around.
