Im talking from a very egoistical perspective here mate.

 

Midweek games are always difficult for me because of the travelling and actually having to work from time to time.

This is now their 2nd XI. They are buying a new 1st XI this week in time for the league resumption.

I'm trying to recall where I read or heard this anecdote, but one time a league match between Cambridge United and Oxford United had to be abandoned due to a waterlogged pitch. One travelling fan claimed they should have put on a boat race.

 

That's the only thing I can think of when I hear Cambridge United. That and John Beck with his alehouse-turned-to-11 tactics.
