"A spokesman said the hospital requires "the Covid-19 vaccine, and lifestyle behaviours for transplant candidates to create both the best chance for a successful operation and to optimise the patient's survival after transplantation, given that their immune system is drastically suppressed"."

As a comparison here's what else can lead to being refused a transplant.

Absolute contraindications for adults and children include, but may not be limited to:

  • Major systemic disease
  • Age inappropriateness (70 years of age)
  • Cancer in the last 5 years except localized skin (not melanoma) or stage I breast or prostate
  • Active smoker (less than 6 months since quitting)
  • Active substance abuse
  • HIV
  • Severe local or systemic infection
  • Severe neurologic deficits
  • Major psychiatric illness or active substance abuse that cannot be managed sufficiently to allow post-transplant care and safety

There are similar lists for kidneys, lungs, liver, anything that can be transplanted isn't transplanted without conditions given the scarcity of the resource. Why would you give somebody a heart transplant if they refuse to protect themselves from increased risk of heart disease or a liver transplant to someone who shows no inclination to quit drink/drugs?

The forum happy clappers will absolutely love this and find a way to justify it.

Thankfully those that actually read the article will realise how far fetched the headline is but of course all the anti vax mob will see is the headline and assume hospitals around the world are killing people for not having the vaccine which is completely untrue. But of course the truth doesn’t matter to you lot.

Curious, because someone on this thread said his wife was hospitalised with myocarditis.  I guess she was in the 0.0004%.

No one can know anyone impacted because that makes it untrue, whereas if we don’t know them it’s true.  Fucking mentalism from the bootcut bowler.  I knew a woman who won the lottery, therefore the odds on winning the lottery are bollocks.
