Sadio jogging over

I wonder if what Klopp said about ACON has impacted on him. His manager in Senegal has been very vocal against Klopp in the last couple of weeks.

It's not Sadio's form that bothers me, it's more his lack of fight and desire. He's never looked like he's not bothered before, but in the last 2 games, it's been visible.

It could also be the contract situation, potentially.

You think it's a desire problem? To me, he just went back to what he did last season where every single decision he makes isn't on. I don't think you can ever question Mané's desire. He might look like he's never played football at times, but he always tries.

Plus, the Klopp comment about AFCON was lost in translation. Aliou Cisse might have made a big deal about it because he wants to get his name out there, but it's a complete non-issue. There's no way that Klopp didn't go to Sadio after or whoever else that plays in the tournament and explained himself.

I thought Hendo and Thiago were below par but Fab was, well just Fab,as usually he is.

Thiago was man of the match by a country mile. He won possession back more times than the average midfielder does in 10 games. Distribution was mostly brilliant as well, apart from a couple of situations.

Fabinho was also very good.

I think his decision making has always been erratic, its just that he never had a blip like last season, meaning there is now more focus on his 'mistakes'.

That also coincided with Robbo and Firmino having dips too, plus the injuries leading to our worst run of results under Klopp.

The point Klopp made after the Arteta fight, about his physicality and how he gets involved was an important one. He's always aggressive in the way he plays. Even when he's shite.

I haven't seen that in the last 2 games.

I understand what you mean about Cisse, but Senegal means a lot to Mane, and if that cunt is in his ear, then it's bound to have an impact.

There’s none so blind as those that won’t see.  If Henderson put in a performance like that, this site would resemble a cloud-based plasterer’s radio.

You don't need to slag Henderson off to praise Thiago, you know. There are three midfielders in the team. It's not one or the other.

I'm not slagging him off.  I'm just pointing out the disparity between expectations.  Thiago's performance on Saturday was normal for him; Henderson's performance against Everton was absolutely a great performance, but very much the exception from him.   I don't know what Thiago has to do to get credit from certain people.

Adam and Joe are going to get jealous if you keep on like this.

Tiago was very good and he’s getting consistency. Hendo has been very good for years as a player, as a skipper, as a leader. It’s great they can play together along Fabinho.

We’ve been waiting for 15 months that this midfield would reign on PL. Time may have come …
