I loved when Richarlison was one on one with Van Dijk at the end, he totally shit his pants and ballooned it.

Yeah, noticed that. Definitely wanted rid of the ball when he knew Virgil was about to tackle him. Completely bottled it.

Also, I think we should probably abandon the Virgil as free kick taker experiment after its first tentative trial.

I did feel for Rafa at the end, he looked crestfallen. I wasn't happy with the "Rafa at the wheel" chants either - where the fuck did that chant come from?

Excellent performance from us though, we look imperious.

His interview at the end was painful when asked about our fans singing his name and he said he was concentrated on the game and didn't hear any of that.

Their next run of games will not be fun.

Not sure why anyone has sympathy for Rafa. He knew exactly what he was walking into, same as he did with Chelsea. He just doesn't give a shit about what anyone thinks. He will be happy getting the boot and a nice payoff. He got a three year  10ml a year deal out of them.  He will get at least half of that from them for probably 6-8 months work

He needs to go back to being a manager rather than a project director. He employs a ridiculously large group of assistants, specialist analysts and god knows what, he's forever talking about them all as though he's in charge of NASA rather than a jobbing football coach. It's become a neurotic obsession, like hoarding screwdrivers or using five laptops at once. Hopefully after this latest madness he'll go home, let all the hangers-on feck off back to their labs and then slowly remember when he had a bit of integrity. Sitting their last night talking about how much money we spent - christ. And this from an ex-Chelski manager, too.

Yes! This was the goal it reminded me of (2 mins, 50 secs in)

Was at that game , hitched there and back. Great night finished off with a big sing song on the M6 when there was a huge traffice jam. Ray was an immense talent.

It comes from the boneheaded Pavlovian prats whom all clubs have and who sit there waiting to twitch into action when cued. The Citeh fans were singing 'Gerrard's at the wheel' last night.

Absolutely not. We should be having him take a lot more.

Amazing! I was only 6 but I played the highlights of this over and over, the commentary, the clobber, the goals, everything.

Can't be arsed hating on Rafa for that press conference remark. He was just trying to draw attention to the fact he's had £1.7m to spend. This is a man who donated 96k to the Hillsborough family support group when he left the club. Who sat in tears during the memorial service when his name was mentioned. A bonafide club legend as far as I'm concerned, and not someone we should be throwing digs at.

It's hardly 'throwing digs' - it's responding to a dig thrown by him. And anyone who joins that mob of knuckledragging psychotics and refers to them as 'we' and 'us' as they mime pushing down walls doesn't have my respect, no matter how big a donation he makes out of his obscenely large salaries. ('How much are you giving this time, sir? £196,000? The ambassador is spoiling us! That buys you five Get Out of Jail tokens and a complimentary handjob!') Cecil fecking Rhodes will be getting a brand new statue soon if financial donations win you that much supine genuflection.

I was feeling sorry for Rafa till he said the ‘loadsa money’ thing. As someone said he should fuck all the analysis staff off and get back to coaching. I think, if he wants a job on Merseyside, he should wait for a go at Tranmere and get back to basics. I don’t mean that with any disrespect to the man, but it could be a gritty thing to get his teeth into.

QPR were watching the game live as they would have been champions if we lost. They must have thought "here we go" when Wolves went in front. I quit my job with Plessey on the morning of that game.

I don't feel that sorry for him, he's worth between £20m and £30m and lives in a palace. Only got himself to blame for going to that basket case of a football club.

Where was his due diligence before he signed up!

This gave me a good giggle, clearly their fans aren't falling for the stadium updates on bad news days trick any more.

It looked like the echo were showing some self awareness for a change, but then they had to pretend that it's not true and the BMD updates would be released anyway and it's a coincidence that Everton are always shit.

There's a Arguing over ex Managers Forum for this you know!

Haha it’s like 2009 all over again. That man can certainly divide people. Who’s arsed, let’s just enjoy it. Things couldn’t have gone much better for us recently.

What was going on with the pitch invader (or invaders)?

It was a pre-arranged plug for Bill Kenwright's latest high quality provincial theatre production - The Prisoner - On Ice! It stars Jenny Seagrove, Adam Woodyat, the woman off the coffee commercials, the bloke who used to be on The Bill, one of The Cheeky Girls, Dean Gaffney, Mark Wright, the woman off the Pukka pie commercials and Jenny Seagrove. Tickets half price if you have a proven disability.
