Normally I’m the voice of reason on the match thread but I am pissed off here. These are fucking shit. We could have fucking hammered them but instead we took our foot off the gas, started to get sloppy, and now they are back in it with their tails up. We do this far too often. And it really, really should have been stamped out by now.

The other part of the story is they got very physical which put us off. Shouldn't but did.

I wish we'd stop fannying around with the ball at the back. We aren't very good at it and it just invites pressure. Get it forward quickly and keep them on the back foot.

Very good first 20 mins, and should’ve been four up. Then stopped playing, and let them back in the game. 
 

This isn’t over, have seen too many of these games where we are by far the superior team and fail to beat these.

From elation to frustration. 

 

At 2 nil up it looked like cruise control and that a third would've put the game to bed. But, we've managed to miss some utter sitters and could easily be 4 or 5 ahead. Played well, but the massive frustration is that the game is still live going into the second half and Everton can't possibly be as bad as they were in the first 20 minutes. 

 

Still think we'll cut through them and create chances in the second half. Just need to be much more clinical.

I think they will struggle to keep 11 on the pitch.

Can’t believe after how dominant we’ve been the game is not out of sight.

this second half has a red card written all over it - any one of their players could get it - Thiago for us looks like the ref could send him off the next time he makes a mis timed tackle

It's a bit like playing an Atlético tribute act. They only got back in the game by kicking, pulling and thumping enough of our players until they got distracted. They're constantly up to dirty tricks, conning the ref left right and centre (and all he's doing is just 'balancing things up' like some weird twitch), and trying to provoke one of ours into a fecking fight. I absolutely hate them.
