For the Cup Winners Cup category, the player had to play in the final. 

 

Lee asked the question on the first page, so I'm assuming that the same will apply to the FA Cup winner too.

I dont know about Alex, but i didnt used to put up categories, as it helps others plan and gives you some flexibility if you need to change things around. I never won one like, so Alex may have different reasons...

If you have flexibility over which category a player can fit in then yeah - I’ve done it myself. 
 

But as you get to the end it doesn’t make any difference 99% of the time.
