Best goal ever scored at Anfield?

Well the one that made me get up out of my seat and go "whoa-eee-ohwww-yesss" as it travelled was Fowler's against Villa.  But that Torres one against Blackburn is a really good shout too. I had the same reaction, only from my couch.

The Terry Mac one against Spurs is probably the correct choice as a pure footballing goal on its own. There have been others, of course, that meant much more.

A few not already mentioned.

1. John Aldridge goal against Arsenal after Steve McMahon kept one in at the touch line.

2. Peter Beardsley’s goal in the same game.

3. The through ball from Beardsley for an Aldridge finish in the 5-0 against Forrest.

4. Stevie G. against Boro.

5. I’m sure there was another Molby one as well, not against United. Maybe Norwich?

Not as iconic as his Saint Etienne goal but a fine goal none the less.

Yeah, Ive forgotten loads of 'best goal' at Anfield in the fog of time. Before live league games on tv, there wasnt the wall to wall coverage like now and even highlights of midweek European games were rare.

Not exactly an original shout, but has to be this for me

I'll have to go with that one, it's the first one that came into my head though he did have a few more notably that one from just inside the right wing from about 30 yards? And of course that dummy and chip against Everton in the FA Cup, I can't think who the other one was against.

There's too many  all worthy.

It's Gerrard v Olympiakos for me.

Easily the most iconic and of course what it led to.....

Suppose it depends on how we are defining 'best' though....

Simply just the best goal from a technical/visual standpoint?

Or

The significance/importance of it?

Or

Both.

If it is both then Gerrard's is very hard to beat IMHO.

The dummy and chip was in the Clive Thomas semi at Maine Rd wasn't it? Great goal tho.

Our 2nd goal at Anfield by Cally against Inter in 1965. One of the cleverest free kick routines ever and miles ahead of its time. Pity about the cheating prick ref in the return leg.

I'll have to look for that, yeah twat if a ref, didn't he  get done some time later?

Mum and Dad went over for that game and it was pretty hostile apparently.

Edit, Just seen it, yes a cracker, what about that Lawler goal why the fuck was that disallowed? To be honest I thought he scored a goal that stood.

My dad was one of the mildest people who ever lived , but just mentioning that Inter tie was like throwing a bucket of water over a gremlin.
