Haven't been since the nineties but wander around near the centre. Plenty of places. Tended to be a bit pricey then (pre Euro). Nice city.

End of the war Pete? K'nell. What war?

It was to preserve the integrity of the forum, I couldn't risk us going 7/8 posts without that response

Always think of Austria as a Warrington bird that eggs her oyfriend on in Wetherspoons then when he gets glassed, makes out it was nothing to do with her and she'd only come out for a Babycham.

Hitler, Goeth, Schwarzenegger's SS dad, don't pull that aw shucks shit with me.

Beautiful City. Loads of nice bars and restaurants, but they can be pricey. Unfortunately I can’t remember the names of any of them so I’m of little use. Most of the places we used to end up in were within walking distance of the station that connects with the airport though, same goes for much of the stuff worth seeing.

I assume the Christmas Market will be on then, that’s worth a visit.

Don't forget Stringy, it's Euros now, not Reichsmarks.

I know mate; I worked on systems all over Europe to introduce the Euro to financial institutions.  I am that old.

Went a couple of years ago and loved it. Didn't think it was that expensive tbh. Similar to what you'd pay in Liverpool for food and drink.

Loads to do and see. Probably the best city ive ever been too.

I’ve always fancied visiting the Spittelau incinerator.

Can’t imagine you will like, as I can’t imagine visiting an energy recovery facility will that higher on your agenda, but I’d let me know what you think of it
