I didn't watch the match but it sounds like a very sloppy display. We probably weren't helped by some inept officiating but we did not help our cause either. The first aspect brings to mind last season, and the second sounds an awful lot like 1996/97 when we were very mediocre defensively and teams like Middlesbrough, Blackburn and Sion put 3 goals past us.

The unbeaten run had to end sometime, but now that it's happened, the players and coaching staff need to take stock, look at the season so far and iron out all the rough edges.

Alisson cost us 3 goals but Robertson was our worst player!

Robertson also put a great ball into Mane that he should have scored from I suppose it’s his fault Mane missed it as well.

Agenda driven nonsense opinion.

He also put shocking balls in, and just can’t play forward against deep lying defences.  Any ball to Robertson in games like this is a ball down a cul-de-sac and a waste of time and possession

He will lose possession more than the likes of Henderson.  Shall I tell you why that is?  Hell also make more blocks, win more tackles and more headers than Henderson as well.

He can't pass because he's a better header than Henderson?

What?

He's fucking shit. He's a shiny shit in fairness, that looks slick now and again, but he can't turn it on long enough to influece a game regularly. The epitome of a highlights reel player for us so far.

1st defeat of season pity its against Moyes still in good position move on to next game

We're fourth, four points behind Chelsea, behind City who've been relatively shite this season, and behind West Ham who are managed by David bastard Moyes! Good position? I'll have two of whatever you're drinking!

We were wide open the moment Thiago came in. He lost so many goals and his positioning was not always great.

WH are a good team, but we were fortunate enoug to equalize before the break, we played way too slowly, no urgency, no inspiration.

it’s not a bad day at the office, we do have issues, we are not that good, surely not as good as we were 2 years ago.

VVD was very good in 1to 1 but he seem so slow, didn’t he ?

I'm sick of Henderson, to be honest. I see Trent and Robertson making runs when Henderson has the ball, and he always plays it 5 yards to the side. Must've happened about ten times during that game. If you can't play a 30-yard cross-field ball then get out of our team. This is a shithouse free zone.

Hendo is the captain, but he was surprisingly passive when we needed someone to shake the players out of their torpor. In fact the whole team isn't talking much to each other lately - Virge just stares and mutters as if the rest aren't worth dealing with, Mane used to be vocal but presumably he's preoccupied with his own poor form, Alisson makes a mime artiste seem talkative, and so on and so on.

What?

No.  He can pass - he’s a far better passer than Henderson, as his technique is immeasurably better, but because he plays forward passes and tries to create and get the team moving forward rather than shit out of the responsibility means that he has to play riskier balls, and he will lose possession from time to time.  When he doesn’t play, our midfield is so pedestrian and predictable- and very easy to defend against.

A bit shite that.

Alisson a bit dodgy. The set piece defending was woefully inept. Not enough ideas up top to break through West Ham's deep defence. Mané's worst game for us for a while. Robertson seemed reluctant (or unable) to take on his opposition full back as the game progressed and opted for these play it back or inside option far too often.

But, all that said, it's the first defeat of the season. Following on from a sloppy draw too. Hopefully it'll be a kick up the arse and we'll push on from here.

Oh, the Fornals goal is infuriating too. Somebody has simply got to be a snide fucker and take a card and stop the counter while it's progressing, preferably when the ball was still up by the half-way line. Sloppy hold up play from Mané in the build up to that goal too.

I thought our whe left side was missing today and with Allison playing that we were on a hiding to nothing. 100 % agree on the Fornals goal city in the same situation , tactical foul.

It fucking is when you've lost to said Bubble blowers, and drawn with fucking fodder like Brighton and Brentford. Can't afford to do that if you want to have a chance of winning the thing, every point is beyond value!

Huh?

He was awful - he chalked up 9 crosses, 1 of them hit the mark.

He was poor along with a number of others today - But the worst player by a country mile when our keeper has cost us 3 goals.

Not having that sorry.

Mind you we should have been playing against 10 for 80 minutes. Astonished by that decision, even by premier league referee standards.

Naah bang on par for the course that decision. Not even a free kick given but TAA gets a yellow for a shirt pull.

FSG have killed us. There's just no turnover in this team. Whereas beforehand we were signing the best defender in the league, the best goalkeeper in Europe, the best defensive midfielder in France, the best winger in Serie A. Who are we signing nowadays? Youth players from Fulham. Even in Klopp's first summer, we signed Gini after he scored 11 goals from midfield for a relegated team. He was Dutch player of the year. We don't sign these type of players anymore.
