Bad day at the office. Too many players having an off day. Slow and ponderous play. And we let them get in front and gave them something to defend.

Use the international break to clear our heads and go again. Albeit I don’t think we’re quite at the level of City or Chelsea. We could do with some reinforcement in January, but I suspect it won’t come.

Were not explosive anymore, remember the title winning season we win the ball back 5 seconds later it's in the opposition's net, not anymore.

The commentator was ridiculous. If West Ham are supposed to be in form and high up in the table then why shriek with amazement and excitement when they score as if they're a giant-killing team? And Carragher I can really do without for any of our games - at best he just makes you more nervous and at worst you want to punch his face in.

You can't win them all. But to lose when the other team just sits there, breaks and has good delivery is chronic. 3 mistakes leading to goals is also fucking chronic. Pull the cunt down for the second one. And mane misses the 2 guilt edged chances we managed to create all game, that's the fucking worst part. When 1 part of your team fucks you, you really on the others to bail you out. Mane has to score both, let alone 1 of those chances and we get a draw at the least.

Let's hope all our mistakes have been committed today. And they all got punished which again, only happens to us.

Very frustrating all round but hey ho. You have to lose sometimes.

Luckily for us, we're not too far behind and no team looks like putting ten wins together. Keep calm and we need to remain in the mix come Xmas. Long way to go yet.

But cunts all.

Not even sure its so much that we defend the situations we have to badly....more a case of the situations we end up having to defend are so critical and hard because we are too fucking open....

We lose ball and we are far too often are facing 2 or 3 bearing down onto outnumbered defenders trying to catch up.

We need to look at being less easy to counter and not leaving so much space.

Citeh dominate games, have similar possession stats to us, but they play with a bit more control and don't get countered in same way we do, where it is nearly always a critical situation when we lose ball/miss place a pass in midfield.

We are too open.

City have a midfield at the peak of the powers. David Silva & Fernandinho were replaced by Rodri, Foden, Grealish coming through. Bernardo resurgent as well. We've got a 35 year old James Milner and players like Curtis Jones & Oxlade who wouldn't make a mid-table PL starting 11 knocking about the place. We're not in that conversation anymore, and nor should we be with these players.

Alisson was so poor - his head was gone after the first goal.
they hit the crossbar from another corner where Allisson was all over the place.

Two huge misses from Mane as well.

Thiago came on and gave a masterclass in how to look confident in giving the ball away.

He’s the best midfielder we have by some distance.  Him being  fit is the key to our season

Fabinho's better and as for the others Henderon, Jones, Ox, Naby it's not hard is it.  The fact an 18 year old would be starting if he wasn't injured says it all about that midfield.

They’re a good side in fairness and they’ll give the other top teams a game at theirs. Dropping points isn’t the problem - it’s that we’ve used up the margin for error in stupid dropped points against Brighton and fucking Brentford.

Allison had an absolutely shocking game - obviously cost is the game today with three errors, but he doesn’t do it very often.

That first was on Robertson with a ridiculous cut back to a West ham player.

People said Brentford and Brighton were good sides too and they get fucked on by everyone else.

Not at our best there...

We might need to rethink our zonal defence on corners when facing teams with the aerial threat of West Ham. Shocking that Allison didn't get any help on the 1st goal, and we didn't really alter our tactics after that either.

Allison not at his best for the 2nd or 3rd goal, but I don't blame him for the 1st. That gets blown as a foul 99 times out of a 100. Pawson really hates us, doesn't he?

Anyway, when are we going to take a yellow when we're facing a counter like that on the 2nd. Both Fabinho and the two others had an opportunity to take Bowen out around midfield.

Oh, well. Time to regroup and get some players back to fitness and form during the international break. We missed Firmino badly today.

It's up to the defenders to sort him out when he's like that. When he's clearly panicking and distracted whenever they take a corner, someone needs to have a word. Everyone just seemed to ignore him as if he was bloody Karius!

A chasening defeat and in truth, we were fortunate it didnt come against Brighton last week.

We were on the back foot as soon as west ham scored. You've seen keepers get free kicks for less but, our keepers never seem to get the benefit at west ham. That said, I didnt think we protected Alli considering west ham have some big bastards in their team and were always going to load the box against Alli. He looked unconvincing in his jump but on another day, a keeper gets a free kick there not awarded an oggie.

You can give Alli the benefit of the doubt on the first goal but I thought he was at fault for the 2nd and decisive 3rd. If a keeper gets a full hand to a sho as he didt, he should keep it out. And if you watch the ball sail to the far post on a corner and dont come and at least punch it, you're flapping at the header back across goal 90% of the time.

But to be fair, Alli has made some great saves and blocked one or two today. Trent's free kick aside, I thought he was poor. Far too often the right flank was left wide open and sticking a leg out doesnt work for me.

Fabinho was painfully slow on the ball too. He wanted time west ham werent prepared to give him. That 2nd goal is an absolute disgrace with va Dijk and Matip left exposed.

In truth, far too many didnt turn up today and we looked all over the shop. Mo tried as always but west ham crowded him out every time they got the ball. Sadio, well, if he isnt scoring isnt contributing much these days. He really should have had the ball in the net from that late header even if he might have been given offside by VAR.

Jota was industrious but again, nothing came off for him At least big Div notched to give us a bit of hope but that was about as good as it got.

Despite Mo's effort, I dont think anyone can be star man on that performance. If I was giving a MoTM, Id give it Div because despite what some say, he did look arsed tonight and scored.

Absolutely gutted at the performance and resigned myself to getting fuck all even after Div scored.
